you don't have to, of course, but if you want to remove the GPF, you must first remove it from the ECU because the check engine error will appear soonDo you have to remove the gpf filter to unlock the ecu in Europe?
Cześć Jan.In my case with 2.5k km on it. I hava notice that on bumpy roads I hear some noise on the right side (suspencion?). Plus I have notice that on sport mode when gear is changing up some times it's not smooth. Last thing little vibration with 4H on normal road going around 70-80km/h.
At monday I will go to ford to check it out couse first 1k km was smooth and now it's little anoying.

This one seems committed!Any tuners actively working on these to crack the ECU?
Didn't read all 8 pages of this thread so this may be a repeat. There is a Ford Performance tune for the 3.0 V-6 that is in the Explorer. Of course uses the same ProCal tool that all Ford tunes use. It says it adds 30 taking it to 430hp. The thing is that that motor is, like the non-detuned V-6s, already making almost 400hp. I would contact Ford Performance via email and ask them. When the Ford tune for the Ranger was still a few months away from being available I got real informative and timely response from them - surprised me. Here is the link to the Explorer tune https://www.steeda.com/ford-performance-m-9603-ex30-explorer-st-calibrationHi all! I'm happy owner of a new Raptor. It runs great but im looking to unlock full potential of that new engine.
Tune it like outside of EU. Does anyone done it? I know they put GPF and tune down the engine. Next week I will
make some DYNO runs and try tune it with some powerbox to see how much that GPF is cutting down the power.
If someone done it already pls let me know![]()

I contacted VR Tuned for a solution and they replied that they will wait for the US version before they release a piggy back (or a tune). I offered my truck for testing...
I also contacted Hennessey performance that offer a tune for this engine in the Bronco raptor at 550hp(!) but I have not heard anything back yet. Chances are they won't come back with anything until they get their hands on the US variant.
Considering the ECU, I consider it cracked already since Hennessey offer a solution but in case they EU version requires something new (code wise) bear in mind that the Gen 3 raptor took a little over a year to be cracked and you have to send your whole ECU to COBB for a bench unlock.
I really hope for FP to offer the ECU upgrade themselves, which I already contacted but do not provide any updates yet.
Listed on their website now. https://www.diesel-performance.co.u...twin-turbo-ecoboost-4wd-397ps-262kw-2956-ccm/DTUK will have the European spec tuning boxes in a few weeks
They are listed, but only for the Australian version (400hp) if you look closely. I spoke to them yesterday and they said Germany had a basic tune ready to trial but they were waiting for a donor vehicle in EU spec with the 290hpListed on their website now. https://www.diesel-performance.co.u...twin-turbo-ecoboost-4wd-397ps-262kw-2956-ccm/
I want to order a Raptor but won’t until I’m sure the UK engine can be “fixed”. Do these DTUK boxes actually work?
I've had 3 boxes on previous cars and can categorically say they do work. Aren't lead times on new raptors now over 18 months?Listed on their website now. https://www.diesel-performance.co.u...twin-turbo-ecoboost-4wd-397ps-262kw-2956-ccm/

Looking at the product listing, I guess this is for a non-UK vehicle already with 397 PS (not us in UK as we only have 292)...what a shame, that would be making ~ 150 PS on top of the UK spec, ie 50% moreListed on their website now. https://www.diesel-performance.co.u...twin-turbo-ecoboost-4wd-397ps-262kw-2956-ccm/

Local dealer is getting 2 in May/June which haven’t been sold yet and said a custom order only 6 months.I've had 3 boxes on previous cars and can categorically say they do work. Aren't lead times on new raptors now over 18 months?
