Got the KO3's on..... really helps the look of the truck with a more aggressive tire on it. They don't seem to be picking up as much pebbles as I thought they would. Lost about 3-5 mpg according to the lie-o-meter. It was expected, these things weigh 55 pounds a piece.
One reason I wanted the XLT, no leather. But, the lariat offered more adjustability to the seat pan which I wanted, so I "settled" on the lariat. Damn shame a lariat doesn't have cooled seats.
What I'm not looking forward to is apparently they pick up tons of pebbles and then of course they fly out going down the road smacking your truck along the way. The cheap Goodyears on it now do it fairly bad, was hoping the BF's would be better. I live on a gravel road so it will be a daily thing.
Little hesitant trying these, reviews seemed mixed. I've always enjoyed the KO2's. I stepped up to 265/65/18 from the stock 255's. Only problem is the size was only available in an 8 ply D rated weighing in at 55lbs a tire
For me, I "think" the truck shut off. I remember everything going quiet, the HVAC fan stopped, etc. Lasted only a few seconds. Truck regained power while my brain was still processing what had happened.
The turn where my truck displayed the behavior discussed, I travel it everyday to work and have made that same turn multiple times and the truck hasn't duplicated the problem since.
