This is a wonderful write up and it helped me with my installation. I'll say that during my install the things that took the longest were: first in step 6 the mod to removing the plastic trim around the rear louver housing (20min) and second, I dropped one of the threaded clips in the tube...
Agreed, the Ford setup is pricey, but also looks to be a PIA to empty...The J&L that I have is aluminum construction and just unscrews. Not saying its better, but it is simple to empty the can when needed. I haven't even put 1000 miles on my truck yet so once I hit that I'll check the can to...
I thought I found a post where someone was sealing all of the holes on their bed underneath the bed rails, was that you by chance? I cant seem to find the post with pics. I wanted to ask where you got the black circles that were used to seal the holes.
Some_guy and Buellsox basically answered your question for me.
I do a lot of work on my own vehicles including general maintenance, mods, and repairs. The hood prop gets in the way, and the Redline Tuning struts open the hood significantly higher than the standard hood prop does.
New Ranger owner here and I tried to skimp out on the hood struts and get a cheap set off of Amazon for $15. Yeah that didn't work out well and ended up sending them back. They didn't fit, the blind nuts wouldn't grab or stay in place and the hood only opened enough for me to peek inside...

Speaking of changing oil, do any of you all utilize the maintenance plan and get your oil changed at...
I'm in the Southeast and bought mine this week at MSRP. While researching locally, they are selling fast. The dealership that I bought mine at sold all 3 they got in the same week, literally as soon as they came off of the hauler truck.
Today I got to inspect the truck, test drive and will be picking it up this evening. Procal tune ordered and I can’t wait to drive it home!
Got it home and it is was soo fun to drive.
I appreciate all of the replies. Some good info for both common defects found and customization ideas.
Truck arrived today and had a broken tail light housing, looks to be maybe an impact from a rock or something while in transit on the hauler truck. Not too big of a deal but the...
Hey everyone!
As the title suggests, my RR will be here any day now and I am stoked to pick it up. As a new owner, are there any tidbits of info that I absolutely have to know upon receipt of my new truck?
I'm traditionally a Toyota guy (2004 v8 4Runner, 2023 4Runner TRD Off-Road), however...
