I've got it on mine and like it. About the same in quiet, raspier and a little louder in Normal and Sport on heavy throttle (whenever the valves open more) and a fair bit louder in Baja. Tooling around at sub-highway speeds in Baja is nice, but it's too loud once you are over 65+MPG (110+KPH) as...
The correct size Hub Rings have now arrived. My Cuz has a lift but is away so I'll get them on once he's back. Yes, if I don't like the caps once they are on then I would consider painting applicable areas although I've already gotten used to it as it is.
I got them through a local shop in...
Not yet, I got the caps but they are a push through and don't fit with my Hub Rings. I ordered a smaller set of Rings but wasn't small enough so I'm waiting on another smaller set. I took a wheel off (to try) when I got the caps and I'm not sure I'm sold on them (kind of a glossier black on more...
Thank you for posting this, rand into the same issue with my Volks, different out diameter but used your size change and ordered what will hopefully work for it.
Will get a pic of the rears. One I took was too dark. Here’s the front. Tuffskinz reflective black (looks like urban cam under light, haven’t had in sun but assume the same) black in dark but reflective.
Further Update, took a road trip from Vancouver, BC to Whistler BC. Did some mild off roading (Forest service roads but this is early spring so roads still had some snow, fallen trees, ruts etc. I didn't notice at this time but I worked the rear tailpipe section loos (shifter so both down tips...
Finally got some highway and off road driving done this weekend. Love the tires, great on the highway with very little hum (up to 130kph). Did some forest service road and one short stretch of some rougher trails (and a bit of mushy snow). Handled all easily. This truck is so much more...
Got some highway driving and a bit of off-roading. No drone in quiet or normal. I’d say same as stock with Sport or Baja. Long steepish hill at 120kph (72 mph ish) in Baja was the only time it was annoying. But left it in normal for most of the drive and it was great.
I think you’re right but I just thought it was me (quiet mode). I only had the truck for a week and usually just in normal so I assumed it remained the same. It was very quiet when driving mellow in quiet. And agree, black with all the black accents much better for a white truck than silver/chrome.
Thx. No and I wouldn’t expect it to. Sounds the same in quiet or normal which I would use on Hwy. For the other two modes it’s just a bit louder and raspier. Otherwise relatively same as stock.
