I didn’t check the 24’s, but the part number for the windshield header harness on the 25MY is the same regardless of VIN (so, regardless of mirror lights or not), so I would think you are correct. I’d be surprised if the 24’s are any different.

My truck has the same side curtain airbag recall… I’m glad I took delivery before this came out! As far as recall and QC issues, I feel differently. This is a design issue, not a QC issue. And the NHTSA signed off on this vehicle, and then either they or Ford decided it wasn’t quite sufficient...

You’re right; it is the cover that goes in that spot when you don’t have the charging pad. Actual p/n is N1WZ-26045C22-AB. MSRP is $12.83 at the end of March. Might have gone up on June 1st.

You’re right, there’s nothing in the steering wheel itself to detect contact or input; the input data probably comes from the SAS (steering angle sensor) mounted on the column just below the steering wheel. There's no pressure sensors or capacitive sensors in the steering wheel; it all happens...
