I think they brought what they had to bring to be competative with chevy. 2.7 option, updated interior and most of all the tail gate damper. The other thing I liked was the lay flat back seat and people seem to really like the seats and the room. I think GM models are a notch above with...
One of my issues with the GM twins is you have to go ZR2, Denali, or ATX-4 to get the bigger isntrument cluster.. I'm hoping that will be in a package for XLT, or they have an off road package for the Lariat.
I think it will depend on the build trim options. If I spend 60k right now it would probably be the AT4-X... but I really don't want to spend that much. TFL said no Tremor, but that's a package not a model in the 23 Ranger, so I hope that's aviallable. I think that might get me in the sweet spot
The knock some have on the PHEV and it does have merit is you do lose payload and you are carrying around the extra weight on raod trips when it's not really helping. I'll take that trade off for the city mpg and the power on board.
I don't think Fords hybrids are designed that way unless you are talking plug-in hybrid. I think on the F150 you can move around the parking lot, but that's about it.
I don't know that Ford will have a PHEV Ranger, it's hard to offer a ton of options especially in a vehicle you don't sell in large numbers. I do think it would be a big hit. The midsize trucks are getting poor gas milage and in my case I have a 6 mile daily commute. Jeep is doing it in the...
I don't expect the Ranger to be a huge hit with the kind of demand you have with the Maverick, Bronco, Lightning, or Mach E.
The Ranger has crazy competition. GM has new good looking Midsize trucks, Tacoma 2024 is brand new design and the prices are high enough that some people will decide...
I just want to know if it's going to have the 2.7 or lower tuned 3.0 on anything, but the raptor. Ultimately I want a PHEV, but I'd take a hybrid with power on board. I know that likely won't be 24/25 So I'd be looking at a 2.7 Tremor
I'm a really practical guy about a lot of things, but on my truck I'm dumb. I get what I want not what I need. I have a 2019 Ranger it's more than adequate and honestly shouldn't even be looking at a new vehicle, but I am. So far I think the 23 GM AT4 is a better looking truck, I'm waiting to...
Tacoma is rumored to have a hybrid. Ford has the 2.7 in the Bronco... I could see it not at the launch, but I think it's a mistake to not at least match GM.
I just want some info on powertrains. Will the only option be the 2.3 and then the 3.0 in the raptor? I want a hybrid and I want a timeline. I have no issue with my 2019, but the interior needs updates. I will be hard for me to pick the 2024 2.3 Ranger over the ATX4 GM with a 2.7HO. Makes...
Thanks,
I didn't think i'd missed that and with that being said, seems like it will be that latter timeline. You'd think they'd do another year of the current Ranger if it's going to be so late in 23 for even ordering. I'm excited about possible powertrain options, but also have reservations...
