Everything I see while searching the web says all the 3.0L V6 Ecoboosts are built in the US. If so then technically it’s a US build problem already. And if true how many of the undelivered Ranger Raptors may potentially have this problem? If anyone knows of the 3.0 Ecoboost being built anywhere...

Maybe it has to do with Ford not having a US sourced battery that meets the US tax credit criteria yet. So maybe a couple years down the road ? Also newer battery technology may exist by then and extend the range.

Starting in 2024 the credit will be applied at the time of purchase so long before we’ll see the PHEV. And by then hopefully Ford will have their battery/material sourcing straightened out and it will qualify for the full $7500 credit at time of purchase.

Speaking of demand, Ford received 3-4 times more orders than what they could build for the 23 Escape PHEV. And that was before they shut down taking orders. I imagine the same thing will happen if a 6G Ranger PHEV is offered.

It all comes down to driving habits. For us our Escape PHEV is a great fit. We’ve put 1000 miles on it in the last two months and used zero gas. We charge overnight on 120v when the car just sits anyway. So far the cost of electricity is under .05 cents per mile to drive. If we have a long trip...

With a PHEV you drive on electric until it switches to ICE. A PHEV will charge on 120v which just about every house in rural America has. I think your comments are meant to be directed to EV’s ?

It’s close to what the Tremor is but I don’t see Ford doing the Wildtrax in NA. The Tremor package is really prevalent across their NA truck lines and I would think they will stick to that. Probably a lot of the Wildtrax features will show up in the Tremor though.

Plausible. So possibly 12v battery minder? Or independent battery source for test equipment? A drivers side pic would show EV plug if it is a PHEV
