Full frontal + lower side PPF
Side window tint to match factory
Clear front window tint (heat)
LoPro Tonneau Cover
B&W Hitch
Ford Bed Extender
Black Lug Nuts
Ford Performance F/R Mud Flaps
Painted the Exhaust Tips black
Removed the god awful side steps
Very nice. Looks better than my soft cover.
I went with the LoPro soft cover because I got it included with the purchase and installed it myself. It's worked well so far. I also got the bed extender which folds back and is very nice for keeping stuff in the back of the bed.
I did full frontal + rocker panel + lower door PPF. Reason is to help protect the paint from rock chips when I take it off-road.
I don't have a lot of experience with ceramic coating.
I paid 4k over ($62,900) for my red RR here in Orange County, CA. That did include a few add-ons though like the Lojack, Spray bedliner, Graphics package, Door Edge guards, etc.. Also got a $500 credit which I turned into a Tonneau cover.
The truck has already brought me more than 4k worth of...
Interesting decision. I wonder if a lot of people just didn't get the '24 red Raptor because it cost extra? I know most dealerships were not ordering them in red. I monitored SoCal dealership inventories for 3-4 months before finding my red Raptor. In those 3-4 months, I was only able to find...
I think it's designed so you can't siphon gas out and you can't poor liquid in without a special tip, so they probably figured there was no reason for it to lock.
I thought the point of getting the tune was so you can tell people your Raptor has 455hp? :sunglasses:
Anyone have an update for when California is going to approve it? :crying:
So I'm not normally a decal kind of guy, but I wanted a red Raptor, and the one I finally found for close to MSRP had the decal package. I thought that I would remove it, but it's grown on me. It definitely makes the truck stand out, so if you like attention (which is fine), go for the decal...
Can you speak more to the process.
What kind of sandpaper did you use?
How long did you wait between coats?
How long was the entire process start to finish?
Any other tips?
Thanks,
I won't pay a dime over $200 for the install. Luckily I have a dozen Ford dealers around me so it isn't difficult to find someone to meet your price.
Assuming it ever gets approved in California of course. :crying:
Thanks for the photos. I think it actually looks better so I'm definitely removing the side-step. I already have full frontal PPF, but I'm probably going to get some PPF installed on the lower section along the doors as well. Not sure how bad that would look. I have the OEM Ford mud flaps, but...
Not a fan of the side-steps for multiple reasons;
1. I'm 6'3 so the step is at an awkward height to use. I step over it most of the time.
2. It's a faded black color and doesn't match other black on the vehicle
3. It's attached to the body not the frame, so it doesn't offer great protection...
Not usually a fan of the window vent look. These one looks really streamlined though.
Maybe if I smoked or it rained more where I live they would be of more use.
My personal take is that if you choose to install a performance upgrade like this, where the manufacturer is clearly defining the warranty, you should be financially prepared to eat the cost of any powertrain issues that occur after 3y/36k. There's no doubt in my mind that Ford will not honor...
Thanks for the info.
Is there a way for me to get this installed on a California registered vehicle without breaking the law or voiding the warranty? Can I have it installed in another State?
Thanks,
