  1. How does Ford mobile service do an oil change: drain or extract?

How much oil did you extract? Did you get all 6 quarts? Also, were you able to insert more tube than the length of the dipstick? From the drawing it looks like you can't go past the check valve all the way to the bottom of the pan.
  2. How does Ford mobile service do an oil change: drain or extract?

May I ask what the cost for the mobile service was? It sounds like it was the equivalent of "The Works" service they offer which I think is currently running around a $100 for 6 quarts of synthetic blend oil and the other services you mentioned.
  3. How does Ford mobile service do an oil change: drain or extract?

Thanks for providing the oil pan drawing. It clearly shows that an oil extractor tube will not make it all the way to the bottom of the pan. Where did this drawing come from?
  4. What is the correct OEM part number for the drain plug of the 2025 2.7L V6?

Thanks for the part number and link. What is confusing is if I go to the link and change the vehicle from 2024 .... to 2025, Ford, Ranger Lariat, 2.7L V6 -Gas, it says this part does not fit your vehicle. There are many "OEM Ford Parts" websites that all look like this one, and all say the...
  5. What is the correct OEM part number for the drain plug of the 2025 2.7L V6?

Is the correct OEM part number for the yellow plug used on the 2025 2.7L V6 Ecoboost FT4Z-6730-A? If not, what is it? I know there are aftermarket parts available, but I would like to have the actual OEM Ford part on hand.
  6. How does Ford mobile service do an oil change: drain or extract?

Several Ford dealers in my area offer mobile oil change service along with other services. Does anyone know if they do it the conventional way by draining from the oil pan or do they use a top-side oil extractor? It seems to me the oil extractor would be easier given the oil filter is also...
  7. Can oil be changed with the truck on the ground?

Clearly you are changing your own oil. I want to do the same. But what do you think would happen if for some reason you have to take your truck to the Ford dealership to have an oil change? Especially if it is still under warranty. Do you think the technician would know what to do with this...
  8. Can oil be changed with the truck on the ground?

I watched your video and another one about the Harbor Freight version that looks similar to yours. It looks like the hand pump version is all that is needed. I'm sold. Thanks
  9. Can oil be changed with the truck on the ground?

I like this idea and am looking at them online. I see some are hand pumped, 12V powered or pneumatic. How long does it usually take to pump out 6 quarts by hand? And how does the cleanup go afterwards?
  10. Can oil be changed with the truck on the ground?

I just purchased a 2025 Ranger Lariat with a 2.7L V6. I'm at 300 miles and plan to do the first oil and filter change at 1000 miles. After that I plan to change oil and filter every 5000 miles. A couple of questions: 1. Can I change the oil without having to raise the truck? I have ramps...
