I can't think of a single vehicle which has come with a perfectly matching spare for years aside from Jeeps & Broncos which have them mounted externally from the factory.
This is incredibly cool and an encouraging endorsement of the truck, thanks for all the photos!
I'm curious, with so many hard-use miles (or, I guess, kilometers), is there anything you'd change about the factory build? Not necessarily asking for mod recommendations, per se, but something where...
I don't (think I) mind the shark fin, but it is a little befuddling to me why the MoCo didn't put GPS & cell in the flat receivers like they do on the F150:
Though I guess those do have AM/FM completely separate on the fender.
I know for sure they technically fit:

But that may be somewhat offset-dependent for full range-of-motion, and I want to maintain a bit of offroad clearance (and, honestly, visually level the truck)...
Why would you need two (2) sets?
It's one pair per unit.
They're not the same on each side, so ordering 2 if they were sold individually would give you either 2 LH (US driver's side) or 2 RH (US passenger side).
You only need one (1) quantity, unless you have two (2) trucks.
Not to invite myself—and my truck won't be here that soon—but I'm local(ish) to HF and would like to get out there with a group at some point.
Maybe we can get a thread going on the Texas board for in-state trips?
Portals: like a body lift, but for your wheel hubs.
Lol, jk. It's wild to me this is even an accessible mod nowadays.
This is one heck of a setup, a lot going on here. I'm curious what the definition of 'not sponsored' is in this case?
Would also be very interested in some interior pics, as...
No, about the lowest-dollar V6 build I could do:
XLT 4x4; Desert Sand; black interior; 2.7L V6; FX4, Adv. Tow, Box Step, Spray-In Liner.
MSRP when ordered was $45'515 with the ‘Regional 4x4 Discount’ (and XLT Low Discount, of course).
I don't know enough to speak about Job 1 vs. Job 2, so I'll leave that to someone who understands all that better.
However, I placed my order May 5th, and my build date isn't til July 7th, so I feel it's unlikely you receive one before that. As noted in flair, it took 8 business days (May 15th)...
Incidentally I saw a Carbonized Gray RR right outside my neighborhood here in Austin just last week, but yeah I've probably seen fewer than a dozen 6Gs around in total.
My dad spotted an Azure Gray XLT leveled on 33s at Rayburn Resort/District 255 back in April, so if any of y'all bought that...
Love the steelies. Planning on doing the same myself once mine gets here; the PN is the same between 5G/6G Ranger spares and the Broncos. Did you pick them up used?
What size tires are you running? Leveling kit?
Very cool, I've been trying to brainstorm ways to mount radios & other stuff unobtrusively in my incoming XLT (no upper glovebox). Obviously this looks more geared toward things you need to actually see, but I bet it could be a good start for adaptation.
Looking forward to seeing what y'all come...
