Went to install my f150led marker lights and am now confused. Every source I have seen has three wires just sitting next to the battery. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much to kayapayapigdog and MAV for their insightful dives and detailed instructions. Their combined inspiring completions gave me just enough confidence to give it an attempt. Didn’t lose any screws but I did have to rip out 2 of the liner screws….because they deserved it.
