Just got an email just now for this marked 5/1. Is the seat gonna collapse from underneath me while I'm driving or what? Lol.
I've got 4 open recalls on my truck now.
Ridiculous this thing has organic brake pads from the factory. Never heard of such a thing until now. It's no wonder why braking in this thing is sub par and the stopping distance is poor. I ordered a set of Powerstop Z23 Carbon Ceramics for all 4 corners. Will have to wait until it warms up...
I'm skinny/lanky and about 6'3. I've got the seat all the way back. Seat height I'd say is about 12 pumps up from the floor. I find that after about 25-30 mins, I start getting uncomfortable in the neck/traps area. Almost like my head is being pushed forward a little. I don't have any issues...
Truck only has 400 miles on it and calculated the first trip. 330 miles. Computer was reading 25.3. Manual calculation was 24.8. Truck isn't even broken in and had some idling time during this trip too. This will easily see 26 mpg like it claims on the window sticker. Pretty good.
Anyone else with 2025 models, particularly the XLT trim, that have flat black/matte black fender arches? Not a big deal but probably would have preferred the painted carbonized gray.
The velocity blue on this Ranger is absolutely beautiful. Course it was sunny out today so it made for the perfect pickup day. The only other truck I've owned was a 98 S10 pickup back when I was 16. I'm 36 now and just came from a 22 Camaro LT1 V8 manual so quite the night and day difference...
This is weird. I'm looking at the 2024 Ranger manual and it calls for 6 qts for the 2.3. Look at the 2025, and it calls for 5.6. Is this a legitimate change or a misprint? I find it hard to believe that the same engine from last year would change oil capacity. I have a 2025 2.3 on order...
