I’ve had it for over year. I live on a dirt road on Oregon. I’ve been on lots of rough logging roads and trails. Hasn’t moved once. It’s worked well.
I’ve had clamps on various trucks since 1999. Never failed. They do get hung up on things, which sucks. Mangled a few sheets of sheetrock and furniture with clamps
Mine does it also. 13500 miles and has done it since new. I used a stethoscope and the sound was loudest at the high pressure fuel pump at the back of the engine. I think the pump is cam driven which may cause the sound.
Having taken the pillars apart to replace the tweeters, I am pretty certain they are less likely to open correctly in an airbag deployment. The work seems less safe than before.
I change the oil in my 2.7 xlt without ramps. Pulling the skid plate and dumping the oil from the pan is a crap ton less hassle than using a pump. Also you know you dumped as much oil as possible
I have the wildpeaks on my 2.7 xlt. Great winter tires. They are definitely heavier than the wranglers. I’m using the wranglers or lighter tires in warm seasons
Ford modified the bed to provide better support and doesn’t install j-braces. Production started in late July and dealers started seeing them in August. My ranger was built in late August and has the modified bed and doesn’t need the braces.
I have this exact kit. It will not make your truck think a trailer attached. I ran power from the battery because I wanted a light in my canopy that could be used without the truck being turned on. If that doesn’t matter to you, any 12v feed will work.
