I'm pretty sure you are correct. I don't mind the antenna. I can unscrew it whenever I put the RTT on for the weekend. Unfortunately, to get in and out of the garage (to the ceiling mounted hoist) I need the extra 3 inches (that's what she said) of clearance.
Has anyone seen a lower profile shark fin antenna that I can replace with the existing shark fin style? I need the extra space for my RTT. Would love to find a flat/flatter mount type replacement. Thanks.
I got mine off Amazon for $30 ish. I can't understand why anyone would pay double or triple that? Nevertheless, they fit and work great!
