@Alaska Steve Pretty much tried everything and have had no success unfortunately, I guess my only option is just to just use the aftermarket switch. I mean I could get an auto electrician out to look at it, I guess it's just a cosmetic thing really.

so should an additional ground need to be added as previously mentioned?

@Alaska Steve i just checked the wiring with the voltmeter , the red power wire from relay is showing constant 12v , which was the wire added to 14 on the switch . the wire 14 shows 0.02 v added an image of the relay

@Alaska Steve I tried connecting the red pos wire to the fog light no:14 wire on the back of the switch, however no luck - I did notice as soon as the wire was connected it wouldn't turn the switch off of the dash cluster, so im wondering what was going on there.

Thanks for the image Steve, if Im running this from the relay, do I discard the other wires coming from the aftermarket switch ? as mentioned from the relay to the switch there is 4 wires , 2 red ( which stem from 1 ) a black and a green wire.

when you say from the battery junction box, are you meaning the positive 12v wire which im running from the battery to the relay, and from the relay to the current switch . sorry for any confusion. if Im cutting off the switch end, where would the other wires run to ?

yeah id have to pull the bumper off to confirm, but would be worth it if I can obtain using the factory switch opposed to this aftermarket thing. If I am to do this , what wires would go where from the relay switch , as I have green, ground and 2 positives

this makes sense, im not 100% but I recall a while back when I upgraded a bumper seeing a plug at the front of the chassis hanging down , if this was per say for fog light factory loom that ford installed for upgrades, could this be an area worth trying to tap into ?

yeah the vehicle didn’t come with Oem fog lights, however i’m amazed that the dash light illuminates when i press the switch. I figured the relay would only need a signal to turn the lights on, however this is out of my calibre to understand
