I put some new lights on the raptor and made my own bumper brackets , used some nut serts on the front bumper to hold the brackets that I made on. Turned out really good and did not cost much, that was cool. Just a fun little DIY project.
So my raptor has been amazing, I love it. We had a buddy bring his raptor out on our recent Eagle lakes run and I was impressed. I brought my jeep, but I might have to bring my raptor next time. Check out the raptor recap at the end of the video
future ford of Roseville had mine marked up to 85K which I thought was an honest joke. I got it for 59K + financing since it had a couple things. They said some trust fund kids will pay the 85K.
The raptor is so smooth on washboard roads compared to all my jeeps. It's so rad in that aspect, and it drives super straight, and tons of power . We took it out for some fun fall exploring here in California checking out some cool lakes and meadows, it got down to 22* at night and snowed 2/3...
been doing a bunch of rock crawling trails out here in the sierras in the jeep wrangler this summer, but hoping to start taking the raptor out more on some easier trails. been DDing the raptor , so its get driven. Should have some trips coming up. I did take it to Robbs Resort for our Cantina...
I hacked up my stock skid when I did the rival trans skid. Wasn't happy about it since I had no idea. I called it out in a video I made on the install to try to help others learn before ordering. I ordered the rival Tcase after that. I waited a long time for the rival skid and it was worth it...
I need to look into what socket they need at the rack end? I assumed it was a large crescent wrench. I was thinking a TRE puller, a large crescent wrench, and a basic socket set, maybe im wrong, just guessing from looking at the RC tie rods that I got recently . I'll have to look into it. a...
thanks to this forum I learned about the trailer hitch wiring sitting super low , and bought the AAL kit and just installed it. Super easy install, but here is a walk thru video in case anyone is curios.
Very cool build ! Super rad !
Ive been considering doing portals , 37s , and upgraded steering rack down the road over any sort of suspension lift. But, ive already got a wrangler on 37s and lots and lots of mods, and a XJ on 40s/tons/atlas, and a FSJ Wagoneer on 31s and locker/chromos, so its...
for the price, I ordered the rough country tie rods despite not being a fan of rough country, but 200$ for trail spares, seems worth it to me. Based on that thread on here where the guy is running RC tie rods on his raptor.
for trail spare tie rods - stock are around 600$, and some guy on here posted on a thread he used Rough country bronco tie rod ends on his rig and they worked fine, and they are only 200$. I hate rough country parts, ive seen so many of their steering and trackballs fail over the years super...
OK thanks, I missed that, I don't see in the thread where you say they are 1.5" longer. For 200$, I might order these for trail spares. Since stock replacements are like 300$ each. so 600$ over 200$.
Any issues with the rack ? Any really wheeling on it with 41s?
