Well, I was facing an immovable force on this one. I ended up getting an amazing x3m40i. Later that day I began to regret it. While fantastic to drive, it just didnāt fit. I summed it up with: āitās a great car. Just not great for me, now.ā
What spinning my noodle is, In what universe would...
I know I will. Trust me, Iām not crying. I just felt ready for a change. but itās not like theyāre going to stop making them.
Fear not: have a plan.
Final update for this thread. I lost. For now. She is convinced that Iāll hat having at truck. Reasons: no storage (hatch/trunk), impractical for daily driving, and not performance related (Coming from BMWs).
I ended up closing on an ā24 x3 m40i. The last of the great x3 models considering the...
Well she flipped again. This time conveniently leaving out the ride quality and focusing on āyouāll hate having a truck because it has a bed and not a hatch. He opinion all stems from her history of full size trucks. There has been too much back and fourth.
I have to decide if this is a hill...
Update.
so my plan is coming together. We were discussing things today and out of nowhere she said that getting an SUV with similar abilities as her x5 doesnāt make sense and I should think about something that we could use for our weekend excursions/getaways. In addition, the truck we borrow...
I was in the YouTube rabbit hole too. That sent me out to test the brands. Nissan, gm, gmc, and Toyota. The RR was the clear winner. Drove like a car, fast when needed, engine didnāt sound like it had asthma, and not bouncy/squishy all the time.
my last two cars were a 335i coup and x1 35i. Both with the n55. The power and driver engagement was great and was enough power to do what I wanted when I wanted.
Because I enjoy the performance and smaller size, she believes the x3 m40i or Macan S are my logical choices. She would be right if...
Storage is one of her points. The bed isnāt climate controlled and will be exposed to the elements. I do see her point on that. While itās not optimal, it is not insurmountable.
I have driven all of the RRs competitors. None of them came close to its comfort or driving experience. When you...
thank you. My last purchase was without her input and didnāt go well on a service level. (Stupid bmw n55 Engines). So I have to tread lightly.
I hoping that she will see what I saw when I drove the RR. Thatās what happened for her car.
My last decision, she wasnāt consulted, didnāt go well...
As the title states, I need some assistance in convincing the wife that the RR would be a valid choice and not just an ego buy.
my hx: Iāve owned a 90s explorer EB, small cross overs, a bmw coup and a the latest was a bmw wagon/hatch. ready for something different. I do road travel for work...
