  1. Airbag recall fix didn’t go well (wait if you can)

I had mine done on the 28th of October. It went better than expected. I would give them a 9 out of 10 for putting everything back together. No scratches. I did notice stress marks on the passenger side seatbelt pillar. What bothered me about the recall was I was advised by the Service Tech...
  2. Airbag recall fix didn’t go well (wait if you can)

I ran into this problem when I upgraded the driver side pillar tweeter. The plastic clips on the back side of the pillar bend very easily, especially trying to line up the clip holes. There are also two plastic ties that attach (pain in the butt) to the back side of the pillar. It should go...
  3. Airbag recall fix didn’t go well (wait if you can)

My replacement parts came in today at my local Ford Dealer. I did advise the service department regarding my concerns about the repair. I had a 2022 Ford Maverick that a side curtain recall. After the warranty work was done there were dirt handprints all over the headliner and interior of the...
  4. What do you think of the Quality of the 6G Rangers - Subjective is Ok

I have been very happy with my 2024 XLT FX4. It runs and drives fantastic. The 2.3 has plenty of pep. The only issue I have is with the quality of the paint. It seems to attract stone chips. It reminds me of the paint issue I had with my 2022 Ford Maverick. One of the biggest documented...
  5. XLT speaker recommendations?

Hoelwiring.com sells a wiring harness for Mavericks and F-150's that will plug directly into the stock tweeter harness. of the Ranger. I recently installed Powerbass S1S 1-inch Silk Dome Tweeters in the front pillars. of my 2024 XLT using this wiring harness. The Metra 72-5602 speaker harness...
  6. Paint chipping easily? Will this be covered?

I have a 2024 XLT Ranger FX4 in the Oxford White (600 miles). I have never seen a vehicle collect stone chips like this one. I have a bug shield and mud guards installed. The majority of the stone chip damage to my Ranger has been on the driver's side of the vehicle (the hood, front corner...
  7. Stock XLT None B&O Speaker Sizes???

Good Luck with your research. If I see anything interesting, I will post it. I am pretty happy with my stock system just upgrading the tweeters. It made a difference. I am sure I will be looking to upgrade the door speakers in the future.
  8. Stock XLT None B&O Speaker Sizes???

Yes, tweeters in the pillars, 6x9 in the front doors and 6.5 in the rear doors. There is very little audio information on the XLT (plenty on the Raptor) on YouTube. I am sure Crutchfield will do research on the Ranger and make audio recommendations in the near future.
  9. Stock XLT None B&O Speaker Sizes???

Yes, that is the Pillar tweeter connector I purchased. The front door and rear door speaker wiring harness should be Metra 72-5602. You can purchase them from Amazon.
  10. Stock XLT None B&O Speaker Sizes???

I purchased Powerbass S1S 1-inch Silk Dome Tweeters. I was impressed with the difference they made (better sound clarity) with the stock front and rear speakers. I did have to do a little work to make them fit in the tweeter housing.
  11. Stock XLT None B&O Speaker Sizes???

Installed new tweeters in the XLT yesterday. The tweeter connector harness sold from Hoel wiring for the Maverick and F150 will fit the Rangers tweeter connector.
  12. Stock XLT None B&O Speaker Sizes???

The tweeters are in the front pillars. The tweeter speaker harness I purchased should directly connect into the stock tweeter connector without having to splice into it. Plug and play. As far as I know Crutchfield or Sonic Electronix doesn't offer this speaker harness connector. I used this...
  13. Stock XLT None B&O Speaker Sizes???

I purchased the tweeter harness a few days ago. Researching the few Ranger videos on YouTube I am confident it will work. Looks exactly the same as my Mavericks and F150. The stock tweeter is the same size.
  14. Stock XLT None B&O Speaker Sizes???

I am in the same boat as you with my XLT. Crutchfield has not done any reviews on the new Ranger. I ran into the same problem when I purchased my 2022 XLT Maverick. However, I did find a plug and play speaker harness for the pillar tweeters. (hoelwiring.com) Great company for audio harnesses...
