I pull an 18ft bass boat that weighs between 3,000 and 3,500 depending on how full the gas tank happens to be. My 2024 XLT with the advanced towing package and the 2.3L. Not a single issue and gets better MPG than my old Expedition with the 3.5 and rated for 9,200lb towing.
I've got the same ones, just haven't had a chance to install them yet. Anyone know how to get the door panels off? Or are there pics somewhere on the boards? I can't find any good video on YT that show the detailed steps to remove the panels.
Happened to me a few weeks ago, my son was sitting in the rear passenger seat, buckled into the center seat buckle and the truck kept making a racket. I pulled over, turned the truck off, had him correct it, then carried on because it didn't fix it by moving the buckle to the correct one.
If it...
I had SL1's in my 2017 Expedition, they were fantastic, matched the LED driving lights perfectly. Get the CANBUS anti-flicker modules at the same time, you might need them. I'd do it again but already have LED's in my XLT.
Long story short I hit something at night a couple of Saturday's ago, wife thinks it was a dog, I only saw a brief flash of black before impact.
This part is now slightly damaged, and I can't find the part number on any of the parts sites, it is the silver section in the picture.
Any help with...
What feature did you find that you unexpectedly now have to have in your Ranger?
For me it was the Brake Hold feature, turned it on to try it and it has become subconscious to use it when waiting in line at the drive-thru or at a red light. It is so nice not to have to hold the brake pedal.
Nice idea with either some type of pull-out cup holder or a door to cover it. I currently keep a wireless hotspot in it (get free service as it is a demo unit), cheaper than using the factory provided service through AT&T.
I did a trip for Labor Day weekend, towed my ~3000lb bass boat 2 hours to Lake Hartwell. Pulled it fine and plenty of power (2.3L) to get up hills. I was pleasantly surprised when the average MPG in the instrument cluster said 15.5MPG, it did better than my old 2017 Expedition with the 3.5L that...
I put the 4D in mine and the wife's Edge. There has to be a way to disable it in Forscan, I just don't have the time, patience, or the software to find it.
I have a lifetime subscription that I bought back in 2004 for $399.99, I just call and pay a $30 transfer fee to move it to the next radio when I swap out vehicles. It includes online streaming access, so my wife uses the app on her phone in her Edge.
I've been a Waze user for over a decade, Android Auto was a huge deal to get it on my screen rather than having to look at my phone. Last two vehicles I've owned I never used the factory GPS.
I'm very impressed so far with the factory 2.3L, pretty peppy in sport mode. Trying to decide if I want to get the Ford performance tune and bump it up a bit.
