I think it beats regular cruise control. If someone pulls out in front of you or you come up one someone in front you have to slow down anyway. if the cruise control is always slowing you down it’s probably not the time to use cruise control anyway.

small connector is bed lights. you have the wires for 120vac, just no inverter for it.

the part will come with a single 8 pin connector. you need to verify that there are six wires running into the 8 pin connector and the purple black wires carry the 12v and ground. it you have that it as simple as plugging in the connector.
