Have towed a 6x12 x 4k lb box several thousand miles last summer with the 2.3MPC motor; absolutely not starved for power or stability. The early torque onset, as well as the gearing and transmission do their job well. Did runs from Florida to Maine, and back through Kentucky and Tennessee, and...
Rarely see them here, but I went with desert sand as the area in Fl I live in is a lot of dirt (sand) roads. If it weren’t for my black appearance package, the truck would never show dirt!
My red truck and car looked dirty immediately after getting washed just from the traffic stirring up the...

My selling dealer also contacted me about the recall. As it’s an airbag safety recall, the dealer recommended it be done soon. However, I am 1400 miles from them, and my experience with the local dealer is not good, so I choose to wait until a later date. Told my dealer I will avoid rolling...
Mine too is the same, on the same door. Not a latch issue, it’s the door gasket. Seems a bit denser than the others. It is getting better with use, but still need to use a little more oomf when closing that door.
Just checked the Michelinman website. The Defender LTX is available in 16, 17 and 18” sizes. My Ranger, and my F150 are both 18”. They are NOT cheap, but worth the investment IMO.
On my comment on the ‘meh’ stock tires: I live in an area with a lot of dirt roads. They are fairly good at keeping them well graded, but that leads to lots of mud when it rains. I even bought my truck the same color (we call it Dixie dirt road) as the color match is perfect!
Back to the...
I too have a 2025 Ranger XLT. Having owned dozens of vehicles in the 55 years I have been driving to compare to, this is one of the better ones. Picked it up Memorial Day 2025, and have already put 10.5K miles on it, so have run it well. I have the 2.3l MPC, and have been impressed with the...
I too installed the Techpicco struts like Chief did. I can vouch for the performance. They work well.
I especially appreciate how the hood pops to the safety latch making it very easy to release.
Did my first oil change today on my 2025 2.3l at 2860 miles. Overall pretty straightforward, though Ford does make things harder for the owner/tech. Mostly highway miles (1400 in the first 3 days of ownership), and oil level was still right at the full mark. Oil was clean enough that I would...
Too many cars
There were a few others that my buddies and I passed around and only kept a few weeks, but these are the ones I actually registered and insured!
Too hard to remember the years of ownership, so listed by model year.
1963 Falcon with 170 L6. 0 to 60 in an hour and a half!
1963...
Will lend my knowledge where it’ll help others, but building and selling stuff is not on my agenda! Had many side hustles in my younger years, along with 44 years of semiconductor processing tool build and design. Retired for a reason, and the only one I want to build for is myself!
I get...
As the XL models don’t have the inverter, the AC lines are likely unpopulated at that connector, and a blank male connector is there. The violet and black wires likely still have 12vdc power though. See if fuse 33 is in the underhood fuse box.
Ok, I’ll do it this way:
It is bad practice splicing or using wire taps in an exposed area like that, so will always use a liquid intrusion resistant connection. The manufacturers do as well for the same reason.
There is a fair amount of room there, and the connectors are well exposed, so I did...
Sorry about that. A member reached out and asked by pm, and I responded not thinking. Here is the link with info provided; https://www.ranger6g.com/forum/conversations/25-ranger-bed-power-panel.3907/#convMessage-21549
