Ive done a bit more reading and apparently its more or less "normal", you can reduce it by waiting for the idle rpm to go down after startup. Others have suggestef going into neutral before drive/reverse but im not doing all that lol
How many miles do you have on it? After a few thousand miles the feel is ok, but alot better than when I first got it.
As for more stopping power, youre going to have to get tires with better asphalt grip. Bigger brakes is going to handle heat buildup and consistency but wont really help...
Your last sentence tells us youre coping 🤣. Even if you didnt find it more fun and consider it a tool, you would think you would opt for the more capable engine no?
You sure are passionate about telling everyone why the weakest engine choice is the best one, I think you're in denial
Cool story, the 2.7 has had a wet belt for 8 years now and no issues. No shit rubber degrades over time, it has a service interval, its supposed to be replaced overtime. You might as well point out that oil degrades and will screw things up if you dont change it enough. The 1.0s you love to...
Seems like a lot of people here are relying on ai to scrape the internet for wrong information lol.
I did my research and I saw tons of the 1.0 oil pickups getting clogged in teardown videos, but not a single 2.7. It is by far Fords most reliable engine and has had the wet belt for a while...
I ordered the sadeloos off Amazon and the brackets didn't fit quite right. They said they are getting new brackets but when I reached out again they told me the cut some of the plastic along the bed rails(which I will not do)
Do you know by how much though? I know the 3.5EB loses about 25hp for using 87, but I have not seen anything for the 3.0. I do plan to goose tune it once it's paid off, but while it's stock Im just wondering how much power I'm getting for buying much more expensive gas.
I'm not a huge fan of...
People who are saying "it's a raptor, mpg doesn't matter" are missing the plot and can't read lol.
The fact is that the ranger raptor is significantly smaller than the f-150 raptor and has basically the same mpg which is kinda silly.
Also hearing alot of people saying they they run 87... Is...
Maybe it's just me but what was Ford thinking with the gearing? They're way to close together, I mean we have 10 gears to work with they couldn't have spread them out just a tad more?
Do we have a list of which tonneau covers will cover the rail caps?
I got the flowkottu one in the mail today, but if there was a trifold that did they too id happily switch over
Imagine thinking a bug that sent a reply twice means you got to me. Do you seriously think I could've typed the same exact paragraph twice? Your braincells match your displacement.
So you admit you're being captain obvious? No one said it would be just as reliable as stock. Just admit you're...
Cool, you're okay with a slow truck that's fine, still not hard to understand why people want to double their power. Your question is like asking someone why they modded a 50k bmw instead of buying a lambo.
You know just calling someone ignorant over and over again doesn't make it true right...

You're calling me ignorant? Your reading comprehension needs some work, I never said you have to build your truck to enjoy it. YOU went out of your way to look down on people building their truck. Not really a bad analogy either because some people are using them as race trucks, and the point...
Do you want a cookie? You sound like such a boomer, what do you need a 12L pushrod v8 to make 800 horses? Do you go around getting upset about supras, and gtrs pushing 1000+ hp from 6 cylinders? Or do you go out of your way to tell f1 fans that 800hp is too much for a 1.5L? I'm just confused why...
Some of us like to go fast, clearly you aren't intelligent enough to understand that. How could you be confused about people getting more performance out of a performance truck? I think the guys with the turbo bugs are more fun to be around than the guys wagging a finger at people for making power.
Sorry but comparing a ranger raptor to a trail bos is ridiculous. The power trains and suspension aren't even in the same league. The Chevy twins look really nice and the numbers are impressive on paper but they are extremely sluggish
Terrible take, people will spend much more on cars and still spend money to add a ton of power. I wouldn't really expect someone who opted for the 2.3 to understand.
