  1. New Fricking Truck - Part II

2nd the wheel speed sensor comment from bgn.. that has popped up a couple times on the forum here. Might be an easy fix if you press them to get parts in quick 5 weeks old for you - if it was on the lot for a while before that you could get the dealer to test the battery as well
  2. Ranger XLT Payloads

Throw on the overland rack, RTT, bumper/winch, bigger tires, rotopax/hi-lift/maxtrax and those tacos don't have much left for groceries. As much as I'm a data nerd and fully support what you're collecting, what is your intended use case for a mid-size vs full-size? Must-have's (bed protection...
  3. New 2026 Ranger XL owner question

Couple aftermarket panels out there as well. Search for "Ausmotion" for a couple threads on a compressor mount on the passenger side (compressor between the bed walls) - or their website directly. Otherwise just the cubbies under the seats. Or pick up a swing-out box or go the molle panel route
  4. 2026 XLT, 301A Package - Heated mirrors?

Ahh.. Just for us in the great frozen north.. ford.ca vs ford.com 301's Possibly lose the rear window defrost as well down there?
  5. 2026 XLT, 301A Package - Heated mirrors?

Yep 301 is heated power glass with manual fold. On the 301 description on the online build, but not clear on the "order guide" sheet. Wallowa, for your 300/tech did you get heated? Power fold was stock 300, lamp/camera was tech, signals were 301 but I forget what side the heated glass fell to...
  6. 2027 Ranger, refresh and Ford's Digital Experience replacing Sync 4, hybrid engine choice

The 2019 5G released 2011 in Australia, facelifted 2015, current gen released 2022, PHEV in 2025, Superduty this year.. There will definitely be some mid-cycle updates, but I don't expect much for our NA market
  7. Ford: Here's How Long We Torture Test Our Trucks Before We Hand You the Keys

I'd imagine post-torture they aren't stripping trim pieces off and checking every wire for rub/pinch points.. maybe an engine tear down at 500k gives them good data. Without knowing what goes into all the recalls, hard to say if it would be found in testing anyways. Maybe the 3rd party block...
  8. Trade in and upgrade

If you had one of the weird stubby e-shifters on the 24 you will go back to conventional. Securicode keyless went dealer add on? Possibly no side steps if that matters to you. If you were J1 2024 with the J-braces it was all resolved. If either old/new have the bumper/bed step its an expensive...
  9. 2.3 Owners with tonneau cover - any mileage increase?

Slightly worse mileage (rated 11-->12 L/100) in city average, but combination of new tires (8 lbs/corner), retractable with crossbars, winter fuel. Geez.. the Mythbusters revisit episode was 2006! Definitely some improved aerodynamics since then.
  10. Rhino Rack cross bars installed

Nice setup. How's the roll with the low-pro bars? Clear the rear ok but assume it gets too thick for the front bar? With the quick releases, maybe only a minor inconvenience if you need it rolled back.. not sure if the XT4S is flexible enough to fold back on itself.
  11. Mirror assembly - 2026s don’t have side mirror turn indicators

I had a 2014 XL F150 for a work truck, the dual glass tow mirrors were ported to a vent on the side of the dash, just a little foam gasket when the door was closed. Windshield defrost = side mirror defrost. It also had crank windows. I don't miss that truck
  12. Need ideas for single bar bed rack at roof height.

If the Mav crossbars are wide enough, just a single Yakima Overhaul with whatever clamp set is needed then? Or Thule, Truxedo, Adarac, any of the Amazon specials should do you. Have you found what you need for the front bar? There are a few threads with different setups to browse through...
  13. Quick Survey – What Matters Most When Choosing Floor Mats?

Fitment first, meet an acceptable level of functionality (coverage, grip, grooves deep enough to hold some mud/water), then price.
  14. What car insurance do you have?

Oof.. $1680 here in BC (about $100USD/Mo).. after discounts for clean record, low mileage, non-commuter and the emergency braking.
  15. Lariot projector headlight

Did they split the cameras out for 2025 J2 builds? I thought 360 was always included for Lariat trim in 2024/2025 - if you want the color match caps. I don't remember which of the 301 trim or the tech package had the heat/signal/puddle.. tech for the cameras.
  16. A Stupid Trailering Capacity Question

Not much outside of the recommended max tongue weight, still within payload, and without shock loading or the push during braking you'd probably end up with less stress than towing 5k up/down a fire road.
  17. Tires for Soft Roaders

I ran Yokohama Geolandar G015s on work trucks for years (Canadian Rockies; forest service roads) for their winter performance + (milder) AT if that matters in your area. Rolled the dice on the new G018's and have been happy so far. If you're just looking at groomed gravel to campsites kind of...
  18. 2025 Discounts

"got4fords" has a nice ring to it too. Just sayin..
  19. RetraxPro XR incompatible with Elevate and Yakima racks

Both should have T-track kits, come in midsize bar widths and have some width adjustment (cover track spacing).. but yeah the Ranger doesn't always appear on North American vendor sites @RealTruck should carry the Retrax, Elevate and Outpost/Overhaul, maybe they could confirm (and provide...
  20. Sure Love the 360 camera view

Find a soft looking bush and back into it. The auto braking is.. aggressive.
