I had the same issues with the net hardware, but I just picked out the liner material from the screw hole and it went in. No concerns with it delaminating since the eyebolt will hold it down anyhow.

Seriously, why did Ford keep the silver/chrome lug nuts for the black appearance package? Makes no sense to me. Oh well, $35 in lug nuts later a wrong is righted.
