My last bug shield chipped the paint off the front edge when closing the hood. I'm considering the Airplex, but will probably put some PPF on the front edge of the hood where the shield contacts it.

I installed the Weathertech on my Lariat and really impressed with the quality and fit. Wider and longer than the Ford molded splash guards. Fronts also hide the short piece of box steel that is attached to the frame.

I had one bolt strip out because I did not have a T40+ bit and could not find one locally. I replaced all the bolts with these found on E-bay. Replacing all with Fords earlier T40 versions would cost twice as much.
