  1. Unable to order Pro-Cal tune in CA as of July 1 2026

4 hours is laughable, they are ripping you off big time. Do most of the work yourself then find an ASE mechanic to hit a couple buttons and give you an invoice. Or do it yourself.
  2. Traded in my 24 Ranger Lariat 2.7

Procal tune is where it's at.
  3. S&B Intake Issues

Mine is loose as well but has stayed on alright. I should probably reach out to them too.
  4. Beadlock vs regular wheels - weight diff noticeable?

Same offset, 55 mm and someone posted that they are around 28 lbs. so 8-9 lbs lighter.
  5. Better street type tires if hardly ever going off road?

I just noticed that after installing my Nitto Nomads mpg went up by 2 already. That's in addition to better acceleration and dry grip. I know a lot of folks don't want to replace tires that are still good but in my case I found the Nittos on sale so even installed I was out $850. I sold the...
  6. New shoes for the RR

I recently installed OE sized Nitto Nomad Grapplers since I don't plan to offroad and immediately saw a 2 mpg boost in addition to better accecleration and dry grip.
  7. What did you do to your Ranger Raptor Today?

Must be forscan, I really need to start playing around with that.
  8. Thoughts after our 8k mile trip to Olympic NP.

Have those with hood flutter tried adjusting it? Just asking. I had to adjust it to close easier after adjusting my hood struts.
  9. 🚗 Ranger Owners: What Makes the Perfect Car Vacuum Cleaner? (Quick Survey)

We use a small plug-in rigid, as others have said battery vacs just can't compete. We also have a full-size shop vac if needed. I am committed to DeWalt battery tools but can't justify the vac (although they have one that uses battery or plugs in). As an aside I love my michelin bed mat, so...
  10. Ford Ranger Raptor R Engine Preference

Ugh. Looks like an R won't be happening. https://fordauthority.com/2026/06/blue-oval-engineer-says-ford-ranger-raptor-has-too-much-horsepower/
  11. Ford Ranger Raptor R Engine Preference

The tuned 3.5 I had in my '18 F150 was flawless for 5 years. Next owner had to do cam phasers but that was a known issue. Apparently can still be an issue on the 3.0 (buddy was a Ford service manager). I don't think the 3.5 offers enough benefit to warrant the upgrade. With a real tune the...
  12. Sport Drive

Twist the dial around the buttons for 2WD, 4A, etc. Each twist (it has a stop) puts you in a different mode and it twists both ways. It actually took me some time to figure that out.
  13. New shoes for the RR

I just swapped tires to Nitto Grapplers SL since I don't offroad. I already had the Roush wheels but 10 lbs per tire less is immediately noticable! As was said in another thread the tires make the biggest difference when reducing unsprung weight as the tread is the furthest from the hub. I...
  14. Installed K&N CAI now there’s a squeak after accelerating hard and letting off

There are plenty of high flow filters/intakes that aren't oiled. I got the paper S&B and run a prefilter as well. Have run that set for 8 years on 2 trucks, no issues. All the highest performance cars run high flow intakes/filters granted not oiled filters.
  15. Want more HP....

"on a bicycle you need to worry about unsprung weight, thats where the real savings are." From your link, you should probably read before just copying and pasting.
  16. Want more HP....

Go to a sports car forum like Rennlist and you'll get laughed off the board. Track guys put smaller wheels and tires to save unsprung weight and increase braking and handling. It's called inertia. Heard of it? Try to get a 25 lb rolling then try a 50 lb ball, according to you it should take...
  17. Want more HP....

It is a 5200 lb truck and the 3.0 can only be pushed so far and still be reliable. Add lightness, start with wheels and tires. It will be quicker if you lose 20-25 lbs. unsprung weight per corner.
  18. Do the 2026 RR Models have a Gasoline Particulate Filter in California?

For now I believe only European cars come with GPF, Porsche for example has them on the '25 and later 911s. Fortunately they aren't required here so aftermarket exhausts can eliminate them.
  19. Not simple to check tire pressure…..help.

Um, a pressure gauge/inflator isn't going to help him get his fingers to grasp the valve stem cap.
  20. Dealer FP Tune installed. Box never opened

That port isn't even the one for tuning, that's just to get it set up on your computer. Plus you need to use the touchscreen to scroll through the menu to tune it, something doesn't add up.
