Your Lariat is absolutely stunning. The OEM+ approach is also my preferred method and you have done a fantastic job outfitting your truck with tasteful, purposeful mods that the folks at Ford would be wise to study as it features alot of great Ford and Ford Performance products.
I have a '25 RR...
Here's my list (I have a '25 RR):
A-pillar grab handles on both driver and passenger sides
Tactile buttons for front and rear locker
HVAC vents and controls for rear passengers that are integrated into the rear of the center console
Folding rear seat headrests
Carpet delete/full vinyl flooring...
I've always wondered what the RR production figures are vs. the other Ranger trims as well. I think your estimate of somewhere around 10-15% of total production is probably a fair number.
Just for fun earlier today on cargurus.com I did a nationwide search for all new 2025 and 2026 Rangers. CG...
Annnnd done! Once I got the plug separated it was less than 5 minutes to completion.
Big thanks to the @PMK and @Dino Jockey for all the help and support.
I figured it out…
It was a bit of brute force and a bit of the angle I was working from but after what seemed forever it separated. I did not need to manipulate a detent or any tab/pin.
My part came in today and I’m in the middle of install.
Quick question: Im trying to separate the plug from the old wiring harness. Is this a brute force thing or is there some sort of pin or detent or some other technique to it?
Looks super clean and given the parts list you provided and the professional installation you sprung for (I would do the same) I'm sure this is a killer setup. Very well done OP! Enjoy your rolling symphony.
Obviously, it's your truck and you know your needs and taste best.
My RR came with the Ford Performance factory mudflaps. While part of me agrees with you regarding the aesthetic appeal of the truck without the mudflaps, over time they have really grown on me from a visual standpoint. More so...
I’m still a big novice when it comes to really understanding suspension and so while trying to educate myself a bit more I came across this 9 minute video from Youtube. I think this Youtuber may be an automotive suspension engineer. Here’s the link:
I have no affiliation with this (or any)...
Very well done OP...It looks seamless, clean and really tightens up your truck quite nicely. I love seeing these kinds of mods and all the ways folks love on these amazing trucks.
There are some great takes in this thread and as we all know no vehicle can ever be perfect for all use cases and of course, the concept of being “blown away” is inherently subjective.
That being said, speaking strictly for me, I absolutely love the entire 24+ Ranger lineup and feel there is a...
@bossy -- Thank you so much for post #96 with all the pictures and the correct part number. I just placed an order through Ford for the same 2 headrests as in your post and am very excited to finally be getting a clean, tidy solution to this glaring oversight by Ford. Much appreciated!
For me personally, I am sticking with Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5w-30 for the long haul.
Since obtaining my RR last August, I changed out the factory fill at 450 miles with PUP. Just to get familiar with the practice and because I like crawling under the truck, I did it again at 1,500 miles and...
Gotta be honest...it's a cool looking top but without transparent pricing and a color-matched option for our Rangers, I know I'll be l'll passing on this and looking at their competitor's offerings. It's unfortunate because again, it's a great looking top.
Not sure if this has been posted elsewhere but thought I would post here just to confirm the news. This latest approval specifically includes the 2025 model year RR. Here is the link to the CARB website so you can peruse the database yourself...
All around great video and a huge thank you for sharing your solution to the rear vent issue. I just purchased a set of those extenders on Amazon using your link and can't wait to try them out. :like:
I know others have their reasons but my reason for running 91 on my stock/non-tuned RR is because the folks at Ford recommend it (See Pg. 174 of the '25 RR owner's manual)
I've been looking to upgrade the factory brakes on my '25 RR since I got it a couple of months ago...IMHO it's truly the only aspect of the vehicle that I felt could have been done better...
I just emailed DBA for a price quote for a complete set of Series 4000 T3 slotted rotors and a complete...
