Since 90% of today's paint is clear coated, can some explain to me what color sanding has to do with the process? Does the expense then cover being re-sprayed with clearcoat.
Your idea to use the holes in the bed sides is good to a point.
The pictures show that you do not have a direct drop for drainage, so water will sit in the plastic hoses.
If the instructions say use the plugs, to it, gravity is your friend when draining water.
Dealer loyalty was a benefit for me.
Purchased a 2022 Edge and then a 2025 Ranger. The invoice said, Dealer Loyalty -- $1000 discount for the Ranger.
That could be a reason to stay.
Well, I sent away for Griots Garage ceramic coating (Ceramic Speed Shine) and applied it in about 1.5 hours. Easy, lasts about a year and very happy with the results. It works on paint, plastic, glass, rubber and more. I live in the frozen state with 1.5 tons of road salt per mile during the...
You could be correct -- dealers have a free hand once they receive a vehicle. Didn't take pictures but parked near a (want to be then) Ranger Tremor at the Daytona 500 this February.
We currently have a Raptor decal on our tailgate -- and it's just an option loaded 2025 Ranger XLT. We also...
From what I have seen with the current (2025) Tremor option is some decals and paint on the body, some extra stitching on the interior and a big addition to the sticker. (think profit for Ford)
I personally would get the XLT and add whatever other options you want and be happy. If you want a...
BED RUG -- you will be happy. Easy to install, easy on the knees when crawling around and if it gets dirty, you can take it out and wash it with the hose.
Yes, it costs but it is the way to go in my opinion.
I have the Ford folding hard cover and if the BED RUG gets wet during a hard rain, it...
A detail shop write up for vehicles that have been "barn finds" says 00 steel wool on windshields will not clean them up without scratches.
I am sorry --- I didn't re-read my post before hitting enter -- it should say - 00 steel wool will clean them up without scratches. The extra 'not' got...
When you live in a climate that is all 4 seasons, Weather Tech is the only choice. They fit, lock in like the original Ford cloth floor mats and can be washed and scrubbed without issue.
If you had negotiated with your dealer, you probably could have gotten Ford's Ranger mud flaps at a discount, and they come with replacement screw caps in case you have to drill out the factory ones. And you don't need a template to install.
And they say FORD on the flap.
Thanks ---
I have viewed Ford's parts list for the grille and it looks like there is a top piece, a middle piece and a bottom piece.
Not as easy as the Raptor grille we installed in our 2019. Did have a problem with one of the lower clips there which caused the first aid kit to be opened.
Sounds like you are not getting full voltage from battery, Clean the top of the battery ( pour very hot water over top of battery and wipe with rag) and check for good connection at cables.
While some of U-Hauls vehicle sizes and weights are way off --- example, 1937 Ford Tudor was rated at 5700 lbs (not even with moonshine would it weight that) --- go ahead and rent and haul.
If your Ranger has the towing package from the factory the recommended ratings are good. The only problem...
