I'm surprised comfort isn't even on the list. If people can't rest bare feet on them or they suck for road trips or the dog then I just take them off the list. The grip thing is kinda overplayed, yes I don't want mud getting everywhere or the mats to be gloss porcelain with a tiny bit of rain...
Yea, the foam on the bulkhead side is probably too small (doesn't compress enough due to the large drop compared to rail caps). That would be simple to replace. Also, I think the thin foam under the rail isn't enough to keep water out between the rail cap and the tonneau rail.
Mostly yes. However, the biggest problem is the thin foam underneath where the cover sits on the rails. It's fine but doesn't handle pressure from the side (e.g. car wash).
I think pretty much everyone has suggested some version of this... OP is apparently content complaining about local dealers that obviously don't want his business.
Went out to run some errands, grabbed 500 lbs in pellets to top off. Then found a recliner on clearance I couldn't pass up. Still fit! Truck bed is just big enough to still be great for running around town.
That's crazy, I love the orange. That's like the little thing that sets the interior apart. At least offering it as an option. Sad if its gone forever.
One thing I notice is even though the RR is nearly as wide as a regular 1/2 ton due to the wide body, the fact that the wheels stick out doesn't change the door location. It's still much easier to park in a practical sense because your doors are in the same place as a regular width ranger, so...
Same with BMW and others tho... If there's a company that does them well I haven't seen it yet. You'd think it would be pretty easy 10n years after they hit $10 on Amazon but who knows.
Not that more special editions is bad in a vacuum, but it is strange that Ford is pursuing all these while trying to strangle the ranger with their other hand because it either competes too much with their other products or some other reason.
