There are 6 notches, each giving 1/2 inch of lift (with the bottom notch stock height, top notch up to 2.5 inches of lift). I set it on notch 4 for approx 1.5 inches of lift. I haven't experimented with the other ride heights, but based on reviews I read online from the Ranger 5th gen and Taco...

Yeah I think it’s all relative, based on what you’re comparing it to and/or what you need out of suspension. Tighter handling, and more planted for towing and off-road in this case.

Had a local tire shop I know pretty well do the install for $450. Then went to an alignment shop $140.

Because the shocks are stiffer than stock, if you hit a pothole at normal speed for example, it’s a bit more jarring. However, there’s much less bounce / float as a result, so it’s more composed / stable over a rough road…if that makes sense ?

These are actually take off wheels / tires from a Bronco Black Diamond- so 265/70r17 General Grabber ATX on steelies. I’ve thought about going bigger on the tires…but for what I need, I think the size is just right. Some light off-roading / camping, and snow in the winter.

I have the same tires (got Bronco steelie take offs), and I set to 35 also. Played around with the pressures, that seemed to be most comfortable.

I like my cheap looking steelies for a base model truck. On my 24 STX, got some Bronco Black Diamond take-offs for $600 (set of 5), including General Grabber A/TX 265/70R17. And they only had about 5k miles on em.

Wheel width/offset of the steelies I believe is the exact same as the stock wheels from the XL. These Bronco take-offs included LT265/70R17 (General Grabber ATX). The same tire setup from the previous gen Ranger Tremor. They have been awesome on and off road so far.
