I will go with the Trail-Terrain for my next set of tires, would be a overall better tire for my driving style and sure would be ok on dirt roads and some off-roading in Ohio and Michigan.
Saving 11 pounds a tire is nice, sure it would feel better for turns and improve braking/ takeoffs.
I need to get back to the track and try 4 wheel drive, and dump the extra tools and spare tire.
Going to try to remove the beadlock trim rings would be interesting to see if they effect ET.
Grew up just north Toledo, Oh and spent a lot time at Milan.
Track is still open but I have not been there in 25 years.
Only live 15 minutes from Summit dragway in Norwalk.
Had to pick up a set of tires for my Mustang at Summit Dragway in Norwalk , Oh today and test and tune was in session.
Did a pass with full tank of fuel, spare, tools, and factory bead lock wheels and BFG's and the Ford performance tune.
Temp was 85 and 55% humidity today.
Put it in sport mode...
My failure was on a 2015 Mustang GT and they rating on the lug nuts are 150lbs.
I do own a quality torque wrench and it was not used. A local shop just installed the wheels after doing suspension work and they only use calibrated wrench's.
Wheel companies who make spacers and non hub centric...
I would never run any wheels but hubcentric that are machined for your size hub.
Plastic spacers do not work effectively.
Had a set of wheels on a 2015 Mustang GT and at 85 mph the 3 wheel studs snapped off on the left rear. I coasted to a stop thinking I had a flat and found only 2 lug nuts...
I ran a set Nokian Outpost AT's on my Timberline Expedition and they worked great but around 25k in mileage they got very loud. Had 10K of tread let but changed them out.
I did run Nokian WRG5 All Weather tires on my explorer and had rally good results.
I like my KO'3 s except damp pavement. Will be work trying a set on the Scorpion XTM ATS next year. Going to check the weight per tire, always good to save tire weight.
I have been getting the Weather Tech hood protectors for my last few trucks/suvs.
Made in the USA and fit great. They sell a gloss plastic stick on style with nor drilling required.
Not surprising, my Mustang GT with Boral touring full system got louder and louder as the packing blew out of the mufflers. Got so loud ended up replacing the mufflers with Ford Performance mufflers and removed the H -pipe crossover and install stock ford resonator. Perfect sound when cruising...
I do have my Raptor button set up to shutoff Auto shutdown, funny the first few tanks after tune the feature was not working maybe due to tune being in learn mode.
I tried a 3000 rpm launch Sunday and it smoked the stock KO'3s for 4 gears!
Had the Ford tune in for 2500 miles and really like the added power and transmission shift points. Just over the weekend the truck went back to auto shutdown by itself? My understanding is the ford tune removes the auto shutdown bullshit but itis back.
Has anyone else experienced it returning...
Have about 200 miles on the truck after tune install Thursday last week and like it so far.
Mileage seems slightly better, when accelerating it stays in each gear maybe a 1000 rpm higher before shifting. Did a few WOT launches in 2 wheel drive sport and feels stronger 0-60.
Who has a source for plastic screws and trim rings for the factory beadlock wheels?
Want to get a black set or silver set. Need two sets one for my Raptor and my sisters.
