You are correct that they will be taller and wider. You're definitely going to need a lower offset wheel. I have +25 wheels and only 275s with a 1.5 inch leveling kit on my set up and the only rubbing I get is in reverse at full lock. 285s would most likely have a little bit of rubbing...
