Iām thinking itās not about the way anything works or feels , but more about longevity of the product/ transmission fluid and the life of the transmission itself .
Maybe because 90W is a good heavy wt oil for the gears . But a better synthetic oil will be on my list at about 50,000 miles . And iām 66 years old and have riding Harleyās for 40 years so believe me I known a very little about thick oils .
And I never get oil changes , I still do them myself on...
So this morning I had just a bed of snow and yes after stopping and starting at lights and stop signs it turned into whatās wrong with my transmission .
Every time I stepped on the gas boom , every time I let my foot off the gas boom . I finally had to pull over to find out the culprit was this...
So is this just saying that the NEW dexos1 Gen3 , 0w-20 Licensed oil meets or exceeds most of the OEM standards for different manufacturers. So people will start using ( this product) as an alternative oil .
I had this problem many years ago with a new Dodge Dakota. It was the universal on the driveshaft. This can easily be checked by Jacking up both rear wheels off the ground and feeling for any play in the driveshaft and then determining which oneās bad.
Have you ever noticed that most all oils are sold in increments of 5 or 10W .
And since Iām just another one of those internet engineers at the age of 66 .
My mystery question for you is , what would a 5000 gal batch of oil that has a wt of 8w-38 be bottled as ?
Think about the fluctuations...
You might be correct the 5W-40. Looks like the better choice than the 10W-30 .
So I have found this . I do use Lucas synthetic oils in my motorcycles .
After reading a lot of things with all these manufacturers be forced to run lighter weight oils just for better fuel economy . I was thinking that after 5,000 miles a 10w-30 oil might actually be a better oil for engine longevity.
So are there any of you doing this yet , or am I going to be the...
I believe if they did an official announcement such as a Ranger commercial. Doing so would have a heavy impact on the XL F150 and the Maverick sales . This New Range definitely hits the bench marks for getting a 4 star rating in the mid size truck class. And would be 5 stars if they improved...
Yes and it also received a duel scroll turbo and probably a couple of other new engine components with its 2025 revisions.
And this is why I bought my STX with the I4 over the 2.7 V6 . These new updates / upgrades with the improved transmission should definitely generate sales once people...
Those tire look like your pushing a lot of rubber weight. And Iām thinking , that you must feel like youāre in a loaded down freight train when you step on the gas pedal To get them up to speed . But you might have the V6 also .
