  1. Fuel Tank Skid options?

I also went with Rival. I did a bundle with the gas tank, transmission, engine, and radiator for 15% off (I think it was).
  2. Poll: Location of Fuel Filler Funnel

I do, and to ensure I never get stuck without one, I purchased a second that I keep in the back with the gas jugs.
  3. Rear camera / parking sensors distance measured

Think Ford small block "351", (Cleveland or Windsor). Sure, it should be 5.5, but 5 is safe, and the numbers are not in the correct order, but that is easy enough to figure out. I do this to remember the spark plug wiring on my Turbo Buick: HEMI/Cleveland.
  4. Oil Life, how is it determined?

To flush out wear particles that are created during the first several hundred miles of break in. With new engines on our Grand Nationals, we would run straight 30 weight for start up (~10-15 minutes), dump it, then fill with 15 or 20w-50 synthetic. That is then changed at ~1000.
  5. Diamondback now has 2024-2025 & 2026 HD

    I just got an email a few minutes ago. 2024-2025: https://diamondbackcovers.com/products/diamondback-hd-ford-ranger?variant=41283115941987 2026: https://diamondbackcovers.com/products/diamondback-hd-ford-ranger?variant=44134612402275
  6. Want more HP....

On our Turbo Buick / Grand National cars, many street/strip folks run methanol injection systems (AlkyControl and Razor are two off the top of my head) so we can burn premium in the tank rather than C16. Can’t quite get the performance of “real” race gas, but it allows for several more PSI...
  7. See America First - Road Trip: 2 months / 19 states

We are doing 3000 mile mini trip in August, with the first destination Tooele UT for a little driving experience. Then we are going to take a couple weeks checking out the state and national parks and monuments in that area before heading back to the Bay Area.
  8. See America First - Road Trip: 2 months / 19 states

I am looking to do the same. My wife retires end of June, and then we will have time.
  9. What is your Insurance Coverage & Cost?

My first several years were a bit East, in Banning. From ~5y.o. on it was 6 weeks every summer, and every other Christmas... ya now? ;-) I still have some family down there, enough to visit a couple times per year, but they are moving out as retirement ages are coming around. Every state has...
  10. What is your Insurance Coverage & Cost?

Our property tax rates are about the same. We pay ~1.5%, BUT, the median home price is nearly triple! Thankfully, we bought our house in '99. Couldn't afford it today. But being in CA has its benefits. The weather is nice. Well, that's about it. We "enjoy" a ~13% income tax rate, plus sales tax...
  11. What is your Insurance Coverage & Cost?

That seems like a pretty good price. I would have to dig out our old paperwork to see what the uptick was for our increased coverages. We were all ready over the minimum coverages required by CA, but our Financial Advisor suggested we bump it up to the $500k points noted. We will both be...
  12. What is your Insurance Coverage & Cost?

I am in the SF Bay Are, and my bill for our 2025 RR came in @ ~$1,600, with a $500 deductible. CA minimums are ridiculously low, so we have more than the minimum as we have more to lose. Be at fault in a serious collision with a +$60k car, and the $$$$ are used up fast... then you are on the...
  13. Finally joined the club — 2025 RR Marsh Gray / NorCal buyer, out-of-state purchase

Nice! Marsh Gray was my preferred optional color, tied with Shelter Green. I too looked around here (SF bay area) and struck out. There was a blue one down in Lancaster that had a $17K markup! I picked mine up in Long Beach for MSRP. Came with bead lock ready rims and graphics package (removed...
