  1. Bronze Bronco Wheels on my 25 XLT FX4

Nice color combo. I need to get a set of black wheels for mine one of these days.
  2. Photos: Post your rig in epic camp sites!

All these pictures make me miss our T@B but my wife was tired of banging her head on the door and wanted a bigger bathroom...
  3. Bakflip MX4 tonneau - this much leak normal?

I have the Worksport AL4, no drain hoses required. It's sealed pretty well. The only time I get any water in is typically through the Ranger's rails and space on either side of the tailgate and then it's usually from a touchless car wash. Has to be a pretty heavy rain otherwise. I don't think...
  4. What did you do to your Ranger Raptor Today?

Set up and adjusted the Yakima rack for the Ranger with the family boat and solo boat in prep for our next camping trip. Takes a little while to get it adjusted on another vehicle the first time. Same towers as the Maverick, just different clips.
  5. Downgraded Ranger Lariat

Ford does that with every generation/model/trim now. They start out with lots of bells and whistles and every year remove a few. Happened with my '21 Bronco Sport, then with my '23 Maverick, now with the Rangers. '25 looks to be the peak. It's all downhill from there.
  6. Need an Anti-Sway Hitch or Other Solution

The mfg. dry weight and tongue weight are not what you go by. You need to weigh it fully loaded. Mfg. weight is with no water, battery, propane, or anything in the gray or black tanks unless specifically stated and your food and gear. Get that tongue to around 12% of the total weight and your...
  7. Maverick Headrests to Solve The Ranger's "Tilt Too Far Forward" Problem

The headrests were fixed and didn't tilt on my '23 Maverick XLT.
  8. Hood Struts from Redline

We carry canoes on the roof. Nice to be able to open the hood partway and have it stay. Can't do that with the prop rod. Had Redline on the Bronco Sport, then the Maverick, now the Ranger. No problems with any of them. Easy install and work great.
  9. 1st trailer hookup, how’s it look?

If you have the trailer set up properly you shouldn't need a weight Distribution hitch. It's the thing now to just cover a problem with the set up by adding a WDH. If you have too much squat, a camper that small is loaded wrong. Fix that first. Check with the camper manufacturer as a WDH can...
  10. One or Two Struts for the Tailgate?

I'd get it replaced under warranty. Mine works great.
  11. One or Two Struts for the Tailgate?

I bought the Ford factory strut and the top screw in ball. Gate already had the bottom pivot on it. Works great. Nice and smooth all the way down. Only negative is the cost.
  12. 18' sea kayak transport on the roof!

Went with Yakima on the roof for our canoes. (12', 15', and 16.5'). Was able to get a little more spread between bars by using the clips from our Maverick on the back bar. Nice T@B RHIPDX. Miss ours.
  13. Recall 26S35: 2025-2026 Ranger 2.3L Engine Assembly Replacement [May 28, 2026]

The biggest recall is to check for a pinched wire in the A pillar. Don't think I'll need heavier oil for that. My last recall was for the tow package. My '25 Ranger did the recall itself in the driveway (software update).
  14. 18' sea kayak transport on the roof!

You need a bow line as the cross bars are very close to each other. A truck passing can put up to 100mph side pressure on it.
  15. Running Boards - Your perspective

The originals that came on my '25 STX from the factory I like better than ay aftermarket I've had in the past.
  16. Bed rug alternative

I bought the Lasfit bed mat (sold under many different names). Didn't like it as it has too many ridges that things get caught on trying to slide them around and didn't stay flat. Wound up with the Ford mat for the Ranger. Much better. Flat, easy on knees, things will slide when you want them...
  17. Stupid question - cell phone holder.

I don't need to see my cell as it's all on the display anyway. I do use an RV GPS when towing though and this little holder with the standard ball clips nicely to the vent. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09NWFZYBW
  18. Lariat seems to have lost it's way

Saw the same thing with the Bronco Sport and the Maverick. First model year or two lots of nice little perks included over the lower trims with fewer every year after that. Now the upper trims aren't that much different than the base models unless you add the pay for options. Even then there's...
  19. Back Seat Camera Power?

Very easy to run cables front to back along floor inside under the door sills. You can pull up the plastic over the carpet/floor and just stuff them in there. Ran my rear camera cable that way. Five minute job.
