Hello all, I just finished installing the aforementioned cai and left the side cover off temporarily so that I could hear it breathing a bit more. While I noticed the moderate increase in induction noises, the surprising thing was I hear the typical bov psshhh to a lesser extent than actually...
Phew, I was scared that I was going to hear cam phaser rattle like I had on my second gen f150 raptor. It came back after 3 separate cam phaser "repairs." It was the ultimate reason I sold the thing for the RR.
I installed the flowkottu this morning. Installation was fairly straightforward. I'm pretty impressed with the fit and finish of the thing. Opens and closes smoothly as well.
Nice looking truck! I appreciate the feedback and I'm definitely going this route. Patiently waiting for my wheels to be me made, which will be a couple months.
I'm looking to install a spacer lift also. It would be nice if RC made a 1" rear as well. I'm having trouble trying to justify $500+ for a set of these from across the pond.
Welcome. My gen 2 f150 raptor was my first ford as well. After 3 sets of cam phaser failures, I told myself, ford no more. Yet, I somehow ended up with an RR :)
Thank you all for saving me some money. I was waiting for peragon to have something available initially or was going to bite the bullet on a retrax. The savings can go towards the wheel fund.
I imagine I already know the answer to my question, but figured I would double check. Does the cover have any kind of mechanism to lock it in place like half way open or all the way open, etc.?
