  1. Check Engine light on after Gasing

Glad to hear it was a 'simple' fix and a disconnected purge valve would certainly kick an error like that.
  2. Loud, diesel-like rattle sound on cold start - cam phasers?

I am wondering if it is a phaser circuit solenoid vs the actual phaser. I don't know anything about how the phasers are actuated, other than they are oil pressure regulated with the solenoids. One suspected failure could be caused by a leaking solenoid seal allowing the circuit to bleed down...
  3. Anyone have a rattle? I think I found mine.

Thanx, this is my first real dive into anything on my '26 since I picked it up back in July. I hate having to dive into things before the warranty is up, but this one didn't seem like something that would go well back at the dealership, IMHO. Went on a couple errands yesterday with the wifey...
  4. Check Engine light on after Gasing

I would suggest bringing it back in to have the dealer look into it. I would have to believe it is a leaking seal on the seal flapper, which would trigger the system error when it tests for a sealed tank. Certainly a case to use your dealership. Good luck and let us know what they find.
  5. Anyone have a rattle? I think I found mine.

For me it was a passenger seat rattle. Yes, I looked into the recall from last year and no, the pivot screws were not the cause, they were nice and tight still. The noise was from the front passenger seat, but only when someone was in it. It would happen with movement of the passenger from...
  6. 1st trailer hookup, how’s it look?

I hadn't seen that hitch before, interesting application of a torsion joint. I am somewhat familiar with that style, as I have used it in various machine applications where I work for chain and guide bar tension. Exact same tech, just a different application. You can see that kind of device...
  7. Oil choice now that Pennzoil UP changed its formulation.

Exactly, without measured values, it is all speculation. I doubt most synthetic oils available will 'kill' our engines and without doing regular analysis you really don't know what is actually going on. As Lake would say, "Without science, it is speculation." Is any really better than...
