Agree.. FRAM is trash, they have a great marketing campaign/budget. I also like WIX, NAPA silver/gold, M1, hastings if you can find them are still a solid choice.

I just asked the asst. svs mgr at the dealership 'who' makes Motorcraft oil, He said Connoco-Phillips & the filters are made by Purolator to their 'spec's' whatever that means... just in case anyone was wondering. They do seem to be heftier than the std puro filter if you compare side-by-side...

My last three vehicles came with 'free' oil changes...of those I've had numerous over-fill instances, a few under-filled which while is still a problem is not as bad as over filling, over inflated tires, missing oil caps resulting in oil literally everywhere except where I actually want it...
