Why run so much preload instead of running a lift to offset the preload? I ask because I'm about to install the Icon Stage 3 and debating preload to achieve the 3.5" lift I already have with the Rough Country.
Mine is Hack_Actual, though admittedly after I sold my Focus (which was a show car) I went from car related content to my career in LE. I'll get some truck content up once I can get some time to do what I want with it. Wife. Kids. Sports. Life. Busy.
Ahh, so the coilover setup isn’t on yet. I was curious how much travel was still left after the lift. I have the same lift installed on the stock FX4.
Thanks for the response!
I think, perhaps, you’re missing the point? The fact that companies are now producing, old or new designed, products for the Ranger is what we should take away from all the builds. These companies, like us, see the Ranger as a major competitor in the aftermarket, specifically the overland niche...
@Wes Siler, I’ve followed your build since you first posted here, read your articles, and now watched your video.
Excellent work so far.
What, though, is with the massive gap between the roof and the topper? That’s got to create some wind noise at highway speeds.
I’ll play because better pictures are coming - and this is a fun thread.
Here is my Ranger (RIP) parked on the highway after getting wrecked. :crying:
Any drone, Sid, at highway cruising?
And great build so far, bold but not obnoxious, and functional. I’ll be overlanding with mine too - excited to see what else you come up with.
