  1. Shuttle trucks!

Thanks man. My wife got custom plates at the same time. She went with HRO DRT. Our neighbors gotta think we’re nuts. It was definitely drier up there than it should be this time of year. We need some freakin rain
  2. Shuttle trucks!

My wife and I decided to hit the trails today. We headed up the hill into the Santa Cruz mountains and the conditions were perfect up there.
  3. Shuttle trucks!

You should get back out there, DSH! I’m currently nursing an ankle that I badly sprained in a crash on a wet, slimy wooden bridge 9 weeks ago. I’ve done 3 mellow rides this week...these are the first rides of the year for me. I’ve been sticking to our neighborhood trails and riding a couple of...
  4. Shuttle trucks!

The small Dakine pad I used until I put a shell on my truck fit the wide tailgate well. No camera flap, but there is a tailgate handle opening
  5. Wax/Paint Protection

I finally applied the Armor Shield IX to my truck during thanksgiving weekend. I applied 2 coats to the paint, glass and wheels and let it cure in the garage for a few days before driving in the rain. It was actually really easy to apply considering the truck didn’t need much paint correction...
  6. Look at my Ranger parked next to stuff

Parked next to my father in law’s ā€˜31 Model A, 4 door slant window:thumbsup:
  7. Look at my Ranger parked next to stuff

Nice...Gotta post pics when you get her setup
  8. Look at my Ranger parked next to stuff

I also use a hitch mounted rack for rides where I’m not planning to stop anywhere, but I’ve found that a couple of mtbs stood up with the front wheels removed and the forks mounted on a solid footing will fit diagonally in the bed. I got the Leer 180 shell for the extra 4ā€ of height. That...
  9. Look at my Ranger parked next to stuff

Congrats on the sweet truck! Coming from my ā€˜01 Ranger with the 6’ bed, the shorter bed took some time for me to figure out as well. I’m using mine to cart mountain bikes around instead of skis though. I too couldn’t be happier with my FX4! I decided to get a shell on it and I figured out how...
  10. Wax/Paint Protection

Truck looks great! I doubt that these spray on ceramics will last as long as they claim, but the one that I used was so easy, I’ll likely do it as often as I’d wax. I’m gonna use Armor Shield pretty soon, but I plan to use a ceramic spray on top every month or so as upkeep
  11. Wax/Paint Protection

Thanks man....the 303 is really good stuff. The Golf got the full 303 treatment today too. The car’s only 3 years old, but the plastic and rubber were looking a little weathered. It came right back to life after using the 303. I ordered the Armor Shield just before my truck got damaged and I...
  12. Wax/Paint Protection

Today I used Shine Armor on my wife’s golf wagon...I would have loved to have applied it to my Ranger, but she’s got fresh paint on the fender from a recent small repair, so I’m waiting for a month. The Shine Armor was super easy to apply and the car looks fantastic! Super shiny and feels...
  13. Wax/Paint Protection

Maybe you should apply a ceramic coat to your buddy’s shell
  14. Wax/Paint Protection

Picked up a bottle of 303 aerospace protectant. Smells like armor all, but didn’t seem as oily. Definitely didn’t leave a slippery feel like armor all either, so I even used it on the plastic on my running boards. Thanks AzScorpion! Gotta trust a dude that lives in the desert when it comes to...
  15. Wax/Paint Protection

Anybody applying anything to the plastic cover on the rear bumper? The ABS plastic on my 2001 Ranger eventually turned light grey. I’d like to avoid this happening again
  16. Look at my Ranger parked next to stuff

Parked at a trailhead along a forest service road in the Mendocino Woodlands.
  17. Shuttle trucks!

Got a shell and hitch rack on my Ranger. We’ve been driving it out to all the backcountry trailheads that my wife’s Golf wagon had trouble getting to. Loving the FX4 package too
  18. Where do you park at work?

I park on a busy street in an industrial area. We’ve also got a towing company at the end of the block that used to drop and leave vehicles everywhere. Our shop has started leaving all of our company vehicles on the street to block spots every day. Other shops have started doing the same thing.
  19. Look at my Ranger parked next to stuff

I woulda parked next to your rig too
  20. Shuttle trucks!

I love my tailgate pad, but I’ve got a Leer 180 shell on order. The security of a shell worked out great for me on my last Ranger. If I remove the front wheel, the extra 4ā€ of height on the Leer 180 should clear the bar and saddle with the dropper down, so I plan to try standing bikes up in...
