Nice! Welcome to the Magnetic Mafia! Is this your first truck? How does it feel having a vehicle even more off-road worthy (stock) than your lifted Fozzy? :sunglasses:;)
This was the maiden voyage of my 2019 Bronson S (with some tweaks). Still looking for some other PNW riders to cruise with in Western Washington.
So I picked up a bike tailgate pad and the first thing I noticed was the possible wear on the bottom of the tailgate from the straps. This "SUV/Truck" edge trim was $10 at O'Reilly's and it fits perfectly on the lower edge of the tailgate. It even matches the black trim on the XLT very well.
I'm curious about what tailgate pads you all are using. I have a Supercrew and eventually I'm going to get a hitch and platform rack but I think I want to just run a pad for now since it's inexpensive. What pads fit best with the wider topped aluminum tailgates? I have seen a couple installed on...
Looks great! I really like the blackout package on the magnetic and I don't normally like black wheels/parts. It helps with the white lettering facing out IMO. Just need some larger BFGs with white lettering out. ;)
Are these the textured powder coated sliders? If so I'm definitely going with these. I just don't want ones that are overly textured like bed liner material. Definitely like your taste a lot! Sweet build!
When it comes to calculating cost/benefit you need to consider all variables. I think the one you're leaving out might be one of the biggest determining factors. Even if it's 5%, that will surpass the $600-ish in cost of walnut blasting depending on how much you drive. According to my...
Fair analogy. :like: I think I'm going to stick to the "I don't always drive like an old man on a Sunday morning cruise" way of thinking and probably won't end up getting a catch can. :sunglasses:
I'm curious why you think that's flawed logic? If it's beneficial to a measurable extent then I feel like depending on your definition of worth I would think it should be done.
Engineering explained. Not sure if this one in particular has been posted. One thing he said that really piqued my attention was "any of these are better options than doing nothing at all."
 Interesting. It keeps the valve seats oiled up but also builds up on the valves which eventually makes them stick. Huh... This topic has been beat to hell and I'm still torn.
