Those look like decals. Mine were metal letters painted red. I think the paint is much more bold than vinyl.

I ordered a Gator Tri-Fold bed cover off of Amazon for an amazing $125 price. It was a returned item with a damaged box, but the item is allegedly still good. I figured it was worth the shot since that was less than half price and I can always return it if it has flaws. It should arrive next...

bought them at my local Ford Dealer in the parts department. They are aftermarket and not an OEM part though, so I’m sure not all dealers carry them.

Oh shoot. My ford dealer had these in stock so I didn’t see the box. They just handed me the letters in a little clear pouch. I didn’t want to risk buying them on eBay and not getting the quality I was looking for. So I probably paid nearly double the price of eBay but got to see and feel them...
