I've been wanting a Ranger since they finally brought it back to the US. Once I heard a new version was on the horizon, I decided to wait.
I can afford the Raptor, so that's what I want. But I refuse to pay above MSRP or anything. I don't NEED a new car so if it comes down to getting ripped off...
Are you waiting for the new Tacoma or a used one?
I was just told that you can't go to a Toyota dealership and order the exact spec vehicle you want. Toyota just builds whatever they think will sell and allocates it to dealers.
You can tell a dealer what spec you want, and they will put in a...
Here's the problem I'm having. I don't NEED a vehicle. In fact, I'm 53 and I've NEVER owned a new vehicle in my life.
I have a daily driver that gets me around just fine and I have a Jeep Cherokee that I use for towing my trailer when picking up materials for house projects, or on the off...
I agree.
A Tremor with a 2.7 would definitely be closer to a Raptor, which is why I can't see Ford offering that option.
But the standard 2.3 with the Tremor package would be the sweet spot.
Same payload and towing capacity as the standard Ranger with a little more off-road capability, but...
Oh man, I would love it if the 2.7L was available too. I'd be ordering up a Lariat Tremor with that setup immediately.
I just can't see Ford giving us that many options. I hope we're all wrong and the US spec gets loads of options.
Is Sedona Orange the copper color? I kind of like that.
I was really hoping the Rapid Red would carry over. That was going to be my choice for a Lariat Tremor, although I guess it's still possible if these are Raptor exclusive colors.
Are the Raptor models typically excluded from "Green Sheet" pricing and other discounts?
I originally had my eyes on a Lariat Tremor, figuring the Raptor would be way more money and no discounts.
I would love a Raptor if it had the same payload/towing capacities as the Lariat Tremor, but that...
Does the current Ranger Raptor have a lower towing/payload capacity vs. the standard Ranger? I would love to get a Raptor, but I'm torn if the towing capacity is greatly reduced.
That's one of the reasons I'm waiting for the new model. Updated "gadgets" and the possibility of a twin-turbo V6.
A bonus will be the updated exterior styling to fit in with the current truck line.
Otherwise, I'd be ordering a 2021 Tremor in Rapid Red.
This is what I have my eye on. I really like the current-gen Ranger, but I just can't get past the old platform and old technology.
I hope they offer something like the Tremor package on this one too. Maybe they'll follow the package groups the Bronco offers?
And now I wait.
