I agree you can reset from your steering wheel. But I don't want to have to reset the connection every time the connection is dropped. There should be a permanent fix for this.

I have used that fix as well. It works, but I'm looking for a more permanent solution. I haven't experienced the problem you mention in google maps however. I agree with other posters, CarPlay is deficient.
