The 3.5L ecoboost has had port injection and direct injection since 2017. Nothing new or ingenious about it. Twin scroll compressors have been around for years as well. 2.0 Eco has it as well as the others listed above
Not in my experience. It appears after several years- 50k or more. So if this engine has only been out for that amount of time it's a wait and see.
quick search shows: The 2.3L EcoBoost engine in the 2024 Ford Mustang can experience cam phaser issues, though it's not as widely reported as...
Was that wind noise with a soft top or a hard top? I test drove a soft top one several years ago and it was very noisy. Didn't like it at all. Have not drove a hard top
Anybody drove both? On road and off road?
I may also occasionally tow a Polaris Xpedition (close to 5k lbs with trailer and all). Bronco will only tow 3500 lbs so it's out for that
Falken Wildpeak are on my SD. I got them for performance in snow (we have a vacation home in Co). So far they are about as quiet as the stock AS tires were and maybe a 1 mpg drop in fuel economy. (same size as stock)
As I said I believe the engines are broken in at the factory. That and the fact that parts have such close tolerances these days they don't have to "wear"
Figment of your imagination. The engines are all ready broke in at the factory. If they weren't they would come with conventional oil from the factory. I have had over a dozen new Fords and none got any better fuel economy with age.
If anything, when you first got the vehicle you liked to hot...
Probably got to mail the tool back for warranty- that is IF they are still in business.
Hard pass for me. I build my own tool kits with tools that I need and like
I started running 5star tunes in 2011 on my first ecoboost. Since then I have had several ecoboosts tuned as well as a Powerstroke diesel. Mike @5star is a nice guy and actually tests his tunes with vehicles. Some tuners just write the tune and let you be the tester.
Don't buy one unless you have too. Ford, Polaris, the RV dealers, etc are sticking it to us because we keep buying. Sure with inflation prices are up but these companies are showing record profits so what does that tell you!!
As long as you idiots keep paying MSRP and/or an ADM they will keep charging them. Don't buy until you absolutely have too and demand will drop and they will lower prices
That's what I am seeing. If I build a Lariat and add a Tremor package which was $4200 last year and a 2.7 for 2k I am at nearly the exact same price as a Raptor.
Wonder if Ford's plan is to sell more Raptors and not even have a Tremor package?
Farley says Ford will be competing differently, going for tailored ownership experiences rather than “jockeying for slivers of market share.” He said Ford will go to non-negotiated vehicle prices.
