Ford is planning on producing this Ranger model for 8 years. So I'd expect they considered the electrification option. I don't think they anticipated the demand for electrification. I don't think anyone did. So we may still need to wait till late 2023 for a 2024 model-year PHEV Ranger.

Personally, I'd love to see a SuperCab with a 6' bed, with the same 2.3L and 7-speed manual transmission (6-speed +1 crawler) combination that's in the Bronco. They are both built on the same chassis, so I'm hoping.
Also, reports are that Ford was surprised at the number requesting the manual...
