Thanks on the look of the truck. The tires do produce some road noise but not crazy. They are excellent on wet pavement and I found them good in snow and slush on my last truck.
Looking at the way I listed the specs above I noticed I put a dash in front of the 35 mm. In case this throws anyone off the wheels are 17x 8.5 wide with a +35 mm offset. They have about 3/8 poke but are just in line with the outside of the factory Ford mud guards.
After running the new tires and wheel combo for about 600 miles It looks like I have lost less than 1 mile per gallon. Prolly about .5 mpg loss. The feel of the truck is way better with the wider wheel and tire combo so worth it to me.
Just had the new wheels and 32 Nittos put on today. Wider /taller than the stock Lariat wheels. Not sure how much heavier. Will see what it does to mpg starting tomorrow…but for the look and stance and the feel it will be worth whatever I give up in mpg.
Yep Method 703 in Matte Black….OEM Mudflaps are decent. Good coverage but could be a bit wider. Easy to install and the rears have Ford embossed on them. They go on with plastic push in rivets so you cant really move them around to level out, they do cover up the wheels wells higher than most...
Gave up on the factory wheels and went with these. 8.5 wide with 35mm offset. 265/70/17. Nice stance and are right at the edge of the factory mudflaps. Plenty of clearance inside as well.
24 Lariat FX4 stock, with 2.7, has about 1800 miles on it and averaging 20.7 mpg. About 70-30 highway to city driving. I would say I have a medium weight right foot. ? Trucks aren’t meant for mpg, they are meant for truck stuff.
