  1. 2024 Ranger Raptor $6k discount from msrp

FWIW I saw a random article on mid-size trucks yesterday that said Ford has not even started production on 2025 Rangers yet after some holdups. Didn't specify if it was all Rangers variants.
  2. Lifting windshield whipper's scraping paint off the hood

I had a 2022 Maverick and I believe it required the ignition to be on and selecting a Service mode in Settings to park wipers in a place you could work on them.
  3. Ford just lost a 2025 order

where are you getting this stuff from? I guarantee you it is 1 million % false and I have the truck to prove it. Google Nissan Frontier 2025 Press Kit and you can see for yourself. Specifically look at the SV and Technology and SV Convenience package options. It also is standard with 310 hp...
  4. Ford just lost a 2025 order

complete BS, but you probably know that. I was in same situation as OP here and educated myself on the 3rd gen Frontier after someone here pointed me the King Cab. My 2024 Frontier SV King Cab with Technology and Convenience packages has top of the line equipped Ranger XLT beat easily and moving...
  5. The Ranger's windshield is garbage

are you sure that is the actual product trade name or a common descriptor? I worked on cell phones at Nokia 2004_2014 and did a stint in the environmental lab where phones are deliberately torture tested to make as robust as possible before going into mass production. Screen breakage on phones...
  6. The Ranger's windshield is garbage

my 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee is still on original glass, though I've taken some hard hits I was sure would at least chip if not Crack it. Maybe I just got a good 1? Probably jinxed it now by mentioning :headbang:
  7. No SuperCab, Well Ford I'm not buying for at least another X? year(s)

I don't consider it a waste of time as occaisonally I see something interesting here or a topic I have direct relevant experience to share, like this one about lack of SCab + 6' bed offerering bonehead move by Ford making people look for alternatives. Also, I'm retired and have lots of time on...
  8. No SuperCab, Well Ford I'm not buying for at least another X? year(s)

I was looking at ROW versions from the day I joined here, fully expecting many would also be available in USA like previous generations. My trusted local sales guy also expected the same thing. I actually did place an order early that we planned to modify later as job 2 was the logical time to...
  9. No SuperCab, Well Ford I'm not buying for at least another X? year(s)

I don't know what you considered primitive on the Frontier, but for me personally and I believe a sizable share of potential buyers, want as little tech and big displays and nanny assists as possible. Also hate all the over the top styling lots of plastic and silly aggressive posturing. A...
  10. No SuperCab, Well Ford I'm not buying for at least another X? year(s)

your argument falls short when every Ranger ROW market sells the SCab still, and multiple 2-door configs too. This is a fallacy there was no demand in USA- it was driven by the dealers telling everyone the CC was the only way to go and where the "demand" was, when the reality is CC is more...
  11. No SuperCab, Well Ford I'm not buying for at least another X? year(s)

I have owned many compact trucks since the 1970's including Chevy LUV, Datsun, Ranger single and Super cabs. Was interested in buying another back around 2018 when we bought a new F-150 from local dealer. He told me a new Ranger was coming in 2019, but it be quickly replaced by a brand new model...
  12. Grinding Noise: Help Diagnosing

Don't expect anything substantial from them. They've never been anything more than Cheerleaders for happy customers here. That account is probably monitored by a small group of media relations/marketing interns with a very small set of actions they can involve themselves in as they are learning...
  13. Has anyone gotten their FordPass points?

what is currency conversion rate US vs. CA?
  14. How long is "Normal" for in production?

there is no normal, or standard amount of time and a lot of factors make it variable. All "in production" status means is it is cleared to send down the line at some time when they are ready. Don't forget they are also building Broncos and BRs on the same line as Ranger and RR. The schedulers...
  15. Lack of Faith !

I see you have a Grand Cherokee as I do. Mine is 2013 Laredo 4x4 with the xlnt Pentastar V6 Flex Fuel motor and 5 speed tranny. It has been trouble free since new and I'll never get rid of it, but I currently completed some mods and updates to improve performance and make it more fun to drive...
  16. Lack of Faith !

take this FWIW: I had a late 2022 Maverick arrived in Nov 2022 and rarely drove it, but it ran great and not a single quality issue in the 13 months I had it. I'm seeing lots of them on the road now and sometimes stock units at my local small-town dealer. The thing is it's not like any mini...
  17. Canceled my Lariat order!

If it's already being built, what's the point? Have you done anything beyond verbally telling them that you'll buy the Raptor? Dealers can be sketchy on stuff with nothing more than you saying you would buy it.
  18. Possibly canceling order

couple more points to consider: are the window stickers between the 2 trucks showing the same MSRP & Destination charges or was there a price increase between the 2? If you take the truck without the steps, then your total MSRP should be less on that 1.
  19. Possibly canceling order

pretty sure Ford points come with all new vehicle purchases. Something like 42k points for a new purchase on these IIRC
  20. Possibly canceling order

You can rest assured the dealer won't actually "cancel" your order. They'll just let it come in and mark as customer refused and recategorize it as dealer stock and sell it on their lot. Don't let them con you into thinking they are doing a big favor and not treat you fairly on selling the...
