Anytime!! Happy to do so. Thanks for making such fantastic vehicles. Looking forward to getting back to the States in a few months and finding my next one, which will be the last vehicle I buy. If you all can hook me up with a dealership that can help me out with an antimatter blue Raptor to...
I have the 2.3 in my Bronco and it’s been fantastic, especially paired with the 10 speed automatic. Moves it great. Good on fuel even with insanely heavy 35’s. But yeah… the diesel here is awesome. Wish they’d offer it up as an option Stateside.
Nice Bronco! Glad to see another 2 door out there!
My only knock on my Gen 6 Ranger so far is that they’ve done away with remote start using the key fob and force you to use the Ford Pass app to start it. While I like the app (and it saved me on Day 2 of owning the Bronco when I found a way to...
Not sure. I had that a few years ago on a Mustang but hadn’t really checked on this one. I liked the blue so didn’t really think about it! I’ll research it a bit and let you know.
Interesting…. Mine has them and they work great. It’s a Thailand build, but Aussie spec. Ambient hits the footwell, the cubby under the infotainment screen behind the shifter, the tray separating the main glovebox and the upper one, and a great little strip along the doors…. Adjustable...
Sorry I forgot to answer the auto 4x4 question earlier. While it doesn’t have the auto mode where you can set it and forget it if necessary, it does have terrain functions similar to the GOAT modes on the Bronco in addition to the basic 2 HI, 4HI buttons. Turning the dial makes it quick to...
Absolutely! Thought the same thing. With it located there it has a couple other advantages as well that I’ve found:
1. Doesn’t take up any extra space in the bed and is already secured. I almost went with the portable kit (so I could take it home after this tour) but after thinking about it...
I’ll get you a couple as soon as I can. It does indeed fold up and has storage room underneath. It unfortunately does not have the large, flat floor like the F-150 does. Still very functional.
In addition, the redesign of the truck bought a couple extra inches that was put to good use in the...
Tried to get you one a little bit ago. Unfortunately I’m down to one working arm right now so couldn’t lift and hold the hood and work the prop rod at the same time. As soon as I can I’ll get you a few shots. Anything in particular you want to see? Or just general arrangement?
Just did. Went in great! I don’t have the accessory switches but the guys at ARB did a fantastic job installing the factory switch below the headlight switch within easy reach. Is going to be very useful I believe. Will just need to find a good spot to mount one in the Bronco when I get home...
Thanks… and congrats on the new Ranger. So far have added the Summit bull bar and twin compressor from ARB to the WildTrak. Both went on great and added capability to an already well built and well designed truck. Enjoy yours and keep us posted on the adventures!!
As many others have said, if the Gen 5 works for you the Gen 6 will as well. I have a Badlands Bronco back in the States which is very similar to the Gen 5 Ranger. With the redesign, what you get it a considerably different cabin layout and wider seats with different bolstering. I’m 6’2-215# and...
I’ve got a lot of time in the Hilux in other overseas assignments. In some cases they literally saved my life. It’s a much better truck than the Tacoma (I sold an 2020 TRD right before I came out here) all the way around.
When I arrived here, with my history I started with a 2022 Hilux Rogue on...
All the major players plus some Indian, Chinese manufacturers as well. Even VW has an option (and it’s REALLY nice… but of course it’s a Ranger underneath in the new generation.) Still looks like Ford and the Toyota Hilux leading the way. Looked at one, but chose the Ranger for many reasons. It...
You can also find some great reviews of it on YouTube along with a really cool video series they did for advertising where different people took the same truck about a week at a time and worked their way around Australia. Was very well done… just like the truck!
