OK, I get it. The real question is: Why didn't Quality Control catch it?
These aren't defective parts. Just like the 2.3 recall, it's parts installed incorrectly.
AC Is always on, regardless of temperature set, even in dead of winter when it's 20 outside and heater is set to 72. As stated, it's to control humidity.
If you don't want AC running, just turn off the AC, but it will reset at each start.
As for DIY, I wouldn't advise dicking around with...
As Shrek said, it's an algorithm based on driving and conditions.
Don't use that as a reason to change oil. Do it every 5K, regardless of what the oil life meter says, else it will have you changing oil at 10K intervals.

If it's been happening since 2018, there should be plenty of proof of "Something is being damaged or prematurely worn every time this happens"
It's your choice, but no guarantee that whatever model you buy won't have its own issues. Just look up Toyota and GM recalls. Hundreds of thousands...
IIRC, people complained that the KO2 would wear too fast. So BFG came out with KO3 that has a harder rubber compound. Now people are complaining about poor road traction.
I totally agree with you. But this isn't a brake failure or issue. It's just the new S/W taking affect. It happened for me Monday morning after the first start up after the update. Hasn't happened since.
